Turk's and Timber's — Restaurant in Sheboygan

I didn't think this place would be good when my friend pointed it out for lunch. It looks like a little hole in the wall tavern.

But he convinced me to get dinner there last night and WOW, I'm glad that I listened to him!!

It was packed with people, some drinking, some eating and some playing darts or video games. Several high top tables were in the main area and most were filled. Surprised to see so many people on a Thursday night.

There's also a small dining area in the back of the bar with regular dining tables. This area was much quieter.

Someone took our drink order almost immediately and brought us menus. Lots of choices, a lot different than just burgers.

We weren't that hungry, so we split a sandwich, the special that night which was a grilled cheese sandwich with 3 different cheeses, avocado, bacon, arugula and some type of sauce. It was a pretty big sandwich, so even splitting it in half gave us a generous portion. The sandwich came with a choice of sides, we chose the pasta salad (bowtie pasta, salami, avocado, and some other stuff) . It was pretty good, but I'm not a big fan of pasta salad so my friend ate most of it. I also had a cup of the soup of the day, Creamy Tomato Soup. It was perfect with the grilled cheese sandwich.

We also split an appetizer, Arrancini (sp?) which was 3 huge balls of a fried rice mixture served with a white sauce and grated cheese. Super yummy! We ended up taking 1 of them home (along with half of my 1/2 sandwich) because we were just too full.

I would definitely go here again. The menu has a lot to offer and the daily special and soups seem like they will be good.

A nice regular stop for us. Drinks are reasonable. There are always plenty of sports to watch on all of their TV's (not a plus if sports arenxt your thing). There are some amazing sandwiches on the menu! Some foods are hit or miss. Regularly we receive the wrong items or missing components to what we order. Save yourself the shame of ordering their appetizer of pretzels. The menu advertises them as in-house seasoned pretzels and that's exactly what they are-a bag of grocery store bought pretzels seasoned with chex mix-like flavoring. After being a regular customer of this place for years today we were treated with disrespect by one of the owners who chose to service 3 white women who were impatiently crowding my Asian wife as we waited seated as long to get service. We were told to wait. As they were then helped first. I can only draw my own conclusions as to why and no matter the reason is bad.
