Not to be dramatic, but Shelburne Tap House may be my favorite local casual spot in the area! And I am someone who LOVES going out to eat. This place truly has it all. Their menu covers all the bases, whether you want bar food like burgers and wings, or you’d like to go a healthier route with a salad, OR maybe you want to be fancy and get a steak or seafood dish, they have it all! And you know what? They do it so well!! We have been here dozens of times now and their chefs don’t miss!
My husband and I are pescatarian so we eat fish and lean towards vegetarian options, as well. I am overjoyed that STH doesn’t just slap a generic veggie burger on the menu and call it a day. There are several exciting, delicious veggie options that are rotating. We absolutely LOVED the Beyond Big Mac burger. The Cauliflower wings are always a hit for us too (even with our non-veggie friends). I am so impressed by all the homemade sauces and dressings too! Also, I just have to say, the first time I ordered the Poke Bowl, I thought I was taking a risk being in northern VT and all…. But guys, once again, Shelburne Tap delivers a fantastic, fresh dish! It’s honestly incredible.
I just can’t stop raving about this place! Plus the daily specials ($5 margs on Tuesdays are just one example) just make you feel like you can have a fun night out without breaking the bank. Try this local gem, you won’t be disappointed.
Love you so...
Read moreIt's been 40 years since I was last in Shelburne, and a lot has changed, but one thing remains the same. The vibe. This place is located in the plaza where there was a Ben and Jerry's, and I mean one of the first ones. The hostess got us seated quickly (7 of us), but you can buy drinks as soon as you walk in and wait as the bar is right there. There are plenty of TVs for sports too. Once seated, the waitress was ready to roll and got the kids' food into the kitchen right away. They had tenders and fries. Also, the waitress provided coloring sheets and crayons right away. The adults had nachos and salads, and I had the Nashville Hot, a Buffalo fried xhicken sandwich that was simply delicious. Great beers on tap. All the food was fresh and tasty. But the best part of all? The price is beyond reasonable for such quality eats. Our bill was 110 for all of us. I have been to places where (3) orders of tenders and fries can start pushing the 100 mark. I was shocked at how affordable it was, and the interior of the dining room is full of interesting pictures, art, and collectibles. Next time you are cruising on Rt 7, don't miss out and grab a bite at the Tap House! My menu pictures aren't great, but think most items can be seen if you zoom in. Parking can be crowded, but we...

This place is PACKED almost every day, it must be hard to keep up with everything but they're making it work. I'm glad they are succeeding, as the food is great. Our favorite fries for sure.
Update 2 (2025): {removed}
Update (2023): the online ordering app is still slow, but massively improved!
They recently expanded into more space and they've added pizza and subs to their menu. We recently tried fish and chips, wild mushroom pizza, and an Italian sub. Fish and chips were above average as always: beer battered, crisp, good fries. The wild mushroom pizza was a surprise! Delicious crust and the mushrooms were varied, legit and excellent tasting. I was worried the sub would be a soggy mess, but the bread holds up and the sesame comes through in each bite. It was also stuffed high quality ingredients in considered quantities. I always love a well balanced sandwich.
Overall, highly recommended if you're in the area and the menu matches...
