First time going to this location and it was just reassurance that this is not the place for me,my date and I both got the same thing only difference was our sides.first off our waitress seemed all over the place now I myself having worked in the restaurant industry for 20 years,I understand servers get busy but the way she was acting was crazy, the mudslide she made me was awsome, but the issue started when we ordered our appitiser,we were informed they were out of cheese sticks which is a staple for me so she said we could sub out something else so we got the pretzels as a sub,she brings those out and we eat them and we still don't have the rest of our app,at least 10 mins pass before we can get a hold of her. When we ask about the rest of our app she said oh I thought you just wanted pretzels, she is the one that said we could sub the pretzels for the mott sticks they didn't have, when we got the rest of our app our food had already been brought to our table, the shrimp on the app were so overcooked we only ate maybe 2,the chicken and shrimp were almost as dark as our steaks, which brings the next issue both our steaks were to be medium my dates steak was borderline med and mine was medium well close to well, the zucchini I ordered was burnt as well as his,he had almost double the amount I received on my plate, and I got mashed potatoes and the amount I received was pittiful,it looked like a table spoon, our plates were $20 each,we received a plate that was worth 8$ the manager did take my food and the app off but I didn't go there for free food,I went to have a good time and get what I payed for and a great experience, cooks need to be trained as far as I can see,a good rule if thumb is if you wouldn't eat it don't serve it,and the server was to blame as well as they and expo are the last line of defense before the food leaves the kitchen, there was no way she looked at our food and did not see there were issues on those plates.we will not be comming back to this location or going to any other...
Read moreOverpriced mediocre food, and absolutely horrendous service. That about sums it up, I'm not sure it's even worth going into much detail.
Issue 1: it took 30 minutes from sitting down to get our tea and soda...it took 10 more minutes (so 40 minutes) to get our pretzel sticks appetizer that we ordered the same time as the tea. Highlight: The pretzel sticks were awesome, although we didn't get the mustard that was promised (we asked 2 times and just gave up)
Issue 2: ran out of tea and our server had disappeared again for 20 minutes or more
Issue 3: at about the 1:20 mark we still didn't have our entree and had to ask another sever to please find our server. Roughly 10 minutes later some kitchen staff brought our food to us...still no sign of our server. We had pleaded with another passing server to refill our drinks so we were good there.
Issue 4: we ate as quickly as possible (still no sign of our server) and after another 10 minute wait went to the bar and showed the bartender where we were sitting and paid our bill with her. It boils down to more than a two hour ordeal with absurd "service" with mostly poor quality food for just over $50. (Two adult entrees and a kids meal) pretty much the definition of bad value for your money. It is baffling to me how places like this stay in business, again in the end lesson learned and it doesn't matter if it was a fluke bad day or its always kind of like this....we won't be back, we probably won't even go to the Gastonia store again (which is closer to us, we happened to be in Shelby this day).
I'm not sure this is even articulate as a review, I just felt the need to give people that read reviews before trying a place fair warning- there is a very good chance your dining experience will be bad, mission...
Read moreMy experience was awful here. Came here to eat with my Mom and asked Hostess to seat us in a booth. She stated she couldn't and put us at a table beside the booth in the sun. No blind on the window and my Mom is elderly and the sun was in her face and she couldn't stand it. Now while we were sitting here waiting for our food, a couple came in and she just sat them in the booth we asked for. Now let me say the couple was white and we were black. So wrong it made my mom and I upset. So I went to the hostess who was by the bar and told her we needed to move to another table or booth instead she said nothing so I asked for a carry out for our food and she told our server. I then asked for a cup to put my Mom's $3.59 tea in and the Mixologist at the bar gave me a kids size cup. Remind you if I pay for a tea I want All of it to go. So I saw the server and asked her she gave me a bigger cup and stated we are not supposed to give you a bigger cup. Really? First of all the service was bad, the hostess nor server cared and we experienced racism just to sit down and eat. My mom and I were unhappy and she stated we were treated unfairly. We have always ate here but today was our last time. It was clear to see the white couple had priority over us. The hostess was wrong. Even the couple next to us who was also black saw it and shook their heads. Normally I don't experience racism but today I did. And no I didn't speak to the manager for what? I just wanted my food and to get out of that atmosphere. Customer service sucked and doesn't matter what color you are we should be treated equal. Never again will...
