I have visited here frequently as I've grown up in Shelbyville and especially here over the summer because it's close to where I live and I didn't have my car. I started ordering the caramel frappe's with no whip cream. Add mocha drizzle. I've had an issue when I'm already being sent to the side to wait from the drive-through at McDonald's because they can't make that and a hash brown but besides the point it's even more frustrating when they bring it to you and it only has one of the drizzles if you're charging me 30 extra cents for extra drizzle then I would like to have both caramel and mocha drizzle on their end for it to be made the way that I like. Eventually, a manager started stepping in and seeing the orders as they were coming through, and would try to help make them correctly. But then today I go, and when I ask for the caramel drizzle to be added, they poured so much caramel drizzle in there that the drink taste so sweet that I didn't finish it. I literally threw it away, and the straw was covered in caramel when you stick the straw and it was so thick, but I took a picture to show that . I really just don't understand the lack of training with the cashiers either or the people at the windows because when I asked why my birthday reward wouldn't give me the frappe for free and it was only giving me the hash brown for free when it said for one free item the worker said I'm sorry I can't help you with that honestly and that's when I asked for a manager. I think they could be better equipped when they don't know how to do something to just grab a manager or someone that is able to train. I just really don't think that visiting this location again would be worth my time or my money.
** to the person replied the number online said calls were not going through. Thank you anyway for trying to make things better. I'm going to pass on the offer. Thank you...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAnother McDonald's, not outstanding, not bad. A little larger than some. Inside decor and dining room configuration a little nicer than some other McDonald's. (See photos).
No playground at this location.
The usual McDonald's menu, no further discussion necessary.
Restroom a little larger than some, bright and clean when I visited recently. Diaper changing facility in the men's room too. The dining room, order counter and beverage service areas were clean as well.
Quality of food was acceptable and indoor counter service employees were polite, efficient and prompt when I visited at 9:00am on a Thursday morning. They were busy but apparently have adequate staff and facilities to handle the crowd.
The drive-through was a different situation. Lines so long that I didn't have time to give it a try.
When I arrived the parking lot was full. Vehicles were waiting for a space to become available. I did find an open place, and when I was ready to leave I found it was difficult to back out into the long line of cars waiting to place an order at the drive-through. Having accomplished that, I found myself going nowhere in a traffic jam in the parking lot.
Parking is free. Facilities appear to be fully wheelchair accessible.
Located at a busy intersection, ingress and egress can be difficult, depending on which way you're going.
My experience ordering at the counter and eating in the dining room was good. I would have given a five star rating if not for the inconvenience of parking, drive-through congestion and ingress-egress...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGo here if you love to wait! I'm assuming it's the manager that is the problem. I live near this McDonald's and refuse to go back. You pull up to the drive thru and see that there aren't many cars, so you think, "Sweet! I might not have to wait too long this time!" Then you sit to order at the speaker for over 2 minutes (3x in a row now- it's a bad sign for things to come). You finally order, pull around, pay, and then they tell you to pull into a slot. This is where you ask for a refund because you're looking at 4 other cars waiting, and it will be at least 10 minutes before they bring you your food! I sat in a waiting slot for 35 minutes once, and I'm not exaggerating. I couldn't leave because it was already late and my kids were hungry. I'm not a confrontational person, but I was just about to run in to find a manager when they brought the order. No apologies or anything. I then sent an email and told them what happened, and they apologized and sent a couple of free meals. Well, I didn't want to go back, so I waited over a month. Eventually, I caved because free food is free food... the exact same thing happened, only this time I only had to wait 20 minutes. šš I told my kids NEVER again. Fast forward about 5 months, my 1 kid wanted a meal, so I caved. I figured it's just one sandwich.... wrong! Waited 15 minutes. For real, don't go here until they figure out how to...
