Starbucks — Restaurant in Shelbyville

I’ve had multiple frustrating experiences with this Starbucks location, but my latest encounter was the final straw. Every time I order through the app, the estimated wait time is inaccurate, and I always end up waiting an additional 10+ minutes. The last time this happened, I was running late for work, so I asked the staff to cancel my order. They told me they would hold my ticket for the rest of the day and I could either pick up my drink later or get a refund.

When I went back later that day, I was told there was no ticket for my order and I was just out the money. No refund, no drink. I was extremely disappointed by the lack of accountability and poor customer service. This is not the kind of experience I expect from a business I regularly visit.

The inside and outside are nice and clean and ultimately deceiving. My espresso drink was made without espresso and oatmeal without its normal toppings, because as Im now told at only this one Starbucks, “you have to ask for toppings if you want them.” You see, Baristas at Kroger locations are not nearly as knowledgeable as they are at other locations and so you should only order from them if you want something simple or don’t care to pay $5 for a totally subpar drink and experience. I wouldn’t give this location any stars if I didn’t have to put at least 1. We were just in there because Google said they didn’t close until 9:30. The guy behind the counter was VERY rude telling us they were closed. I said ok, please let a manager know you guys need to update Google and he said yeah well we don’t have anything to do with that and it doesn’t matter what Google says, we’re closed.
