Stopped for lunch ~12:15 on a Friday. Cafe and lounge located in the same building so the B&G isn't big; bar holds 12-14, half dozen booths, a few high tops, and a few tables. It wasn't super busy, but it was raining.
DARK. Blinds were pulled on the few windows it has. Billed as a sports bar, so it didn't bother me...just sayin'. Modern decor and CLEAN. Comfy. I could easily spend the day here during football season.
Decent beer assortment for the non-_ Light crowd. $4 short was little pricey ($7.50 tall), but both Blue Moons came with a nice thick orange slice.
The menus shown here must be outdated; prices are $1-$2 higher, and the selection is a little different. The poppers (now $8 I think) were tiny, not spicy, and should have been on a smaller plate. That said, they were way yummy. Add a couple more, drop them back to $6.50, and I'd get them again in a heartbeat.
The burger (can't remember what it was called, but it had prime rib slices on it 🤤) was really good. Didn't skimp on cheese or toppings. They list the bun as "gourmet", which must be an inside joke as it is a $2/doz white store-bought bun...maybe don't mention it on the menu. Healthy order of onion rings must be homemade and were terrific.
The stars of the show were the staff. 2 working were very friendly and attentive.
I wanted a not-fast-food burger, cold beer, and to chill out before the drive home. I got it in spades. It's a little spendy but the food, space, and service...
Read moreI actually visited this place twice in two days, as it's one of the only sit-down places in Sheldon. I went for lunch one day and had their Whiskey Swiss burger. I was impressed with the portion size and appreciated the attentive wait staff. I also thought their burger menu was very creative and offered a lot of variety. The burger I had was pretty good - the boozy whiskey sauce was a little thin, but it soaked into the bun well. I went back later that night to grab a few late-night beers with a friend. Having only three beers, I have little to comment about quality, but the staff was again friendly and polite. The only drawback was that every so often the kitchen would call out and order over a loudspeaker, which always caught me off guard and interrupted our conversation. Not a huge deal. We left at 11:20pm, after they closed, but they didn't make us feel rushed out the door or anything. As far as these sorts of places go, Langers has a good atmosphere, decent food, and an reliable bar. What more can...
Read moreI rate this restaurant a ZERO! On Friday, May 15th I was in your establishment between 1 and 2 pm. Upon entering there was a young waitress standing at the table near the door which has the paper menus on it. I greeted her and walked to the register to place my order. She never greeted me and walked past me to go 'goof around' near the bathrooms with another waitress. Both of which were aware I was standing at the register. A third waitress came from the bar area and also saw me standing at the resgister, but never offered a greeting or help. A fourth waitress was at the window to the kitchen with her back to me so I don't believe she knew I was present. Unfortunately, this is my second bad experience at this restaurant and will not make an attempt for a third experience. I WOULD NOT recommend this place to anyone based on the treatment of your young, immature waitstaff. Drove half an hour to eat at your restaurant and won't make that...
