Went to this quaint, old fashioned drive in as we were returning from up the Kitsap Peninsula on 5/11/24. We drove out of our way to support a small business.

It started with some very impatient guy coming to our car window while we sat in the drive thru not yet to the menu board. He asked what we wanted. My wife wanted the fish & chips. He asked, "Is that all?" I told him we'd just gotten to the menu board and didn't yet know. He gave a heavy sigh. I ordered onion rings. He repeated, "Is that all?" We ordered a large diet, and once again, he said, "Is that all?" Could you be more annoying, ya jerk? Maybe be nice to people to encourage them to return or leave a good review? Because of the car in front of us, we still couldn't read the whole menu board, so I asked what flavors of milk shakes they have. "Lots." That was his answer. Huh? Now that's some first class customer service. We were able to move up closer and I could read the flavors (in very small print) and chose one. Guess what he said? "Is that all?" Yes, with your charm, I really want to order more from you... And why were you in such a rush? We waited another 15+ minutes in line. The fellow at the window who took our money was friendly and he even gave our pup a milk bone!

The milkshake was delicious and very affordable, as was the soda. The fish was over fried, and the chips and rings were soggy. IF we ever come back, it'll be for a soda or a shake, and we won't order in...

Picked a bad day to come as apparently they were short-staffed.. The wait was extremely long and then the food was cold.. had turn around and come back and park on the street and request hot food.. then that came out literally within a minute after that which would be impossible to get hot food that fast.. sure enough burger and fries were cold again.

This time I stepped inside and was given attitude by one of the workers.. he indicated that they had contacted the boss 2 hours prior to my visit to come and help.. she actually showed up when I was there and kind of just stood there like what should she do to help.. I find that odd.

The patties were so lukewarm that the cheese wouldn't even melt but then who knows maybe it's not real cheese.. The fries were very limp as if they had been sitting out for quite some time, which in reality they were sitting under the hot lamp but way too long because the poor guy trying to take the orders outside is also the guy that has to run inside and collect the money and hand out the food so by the time that happens this is the reason why the food was cold and limp.

I would have appreciated a sincere apology and a comment that they would get me a hot order ASAP but instead I got attitude and that's not how you keep customers.

In past I've had really good experiences here but this last time put a really bad taste in my mouth and I will not...

If I could leave a review with no stars I would! Super disappointed @ the absolute lack of customer service or anything for that matter. I have always loved this place, WHEN THE FUNNY OLDER MAN RAN IT!! Tonight my cousin, 7yr old and myself went there after calling 5x with no answer to make sure they were opened. The drive thru was backed up all the way into the median of the main road by 3 vehicles. We were there at 720-725. The wait wasn't long, a girl finally came out and took everyone's orders. We were handed our bag when giving payment & left as there were multiple cars still behind us. We literally got to the Peninsula Credit Union and realized they had shorted us 1 entire meal. So I turn around and go back thru the drive thru by this time they are closed as it's 755-757(they close at 750) I pull straight thru to the window and she opens it & I tell her we were missing a burger & fries. She finds our ticket & has the younger gentleman whom j assume is the cook come over. She opened window back up & as us other 2 are snacking on our food at the window says "I am not able to give you the other meal, we are closed now, I will refund your money." & closes the window until handing me the refund.

NO WAY IN HECK THE OLDER MAN WOULDCE EVER BEEN SO ABSOLUTELY RUDE & SHOW ANY TYPE OF SERVICE SUCH AS...

Purchased food here, prices were very decent but the so called adult who claimed that he would be sued when my wife requested a bacon cheese burger no bun. He rudely stated that he absolutely would not do this for her because of cooking everything on the grill at once and he could get into a lot of trouble and be sued for this reason. He made a sorry looking patty on a soggy bed of shredded lettuce with what looked like and tasted like packaged bacon bits, not sliced bacon. (See picture) There was no professional manner, no hi how are you today, no I'm sorry we cannot make accommodations for your needs JUST PLAIN UNPROFESSIONALISM. Just for anyone else coming here to keep in mind if you have never been, you probably won't receive a hospitable service. I truly have been treated better at a Carl's Jr. drive thru where my wife recommended, and we should have made that choice and gone there right from the start. Did you know lettuce is spelled lettace? (See picture) Never return.

I can't remember the last time I said "this is the best burger I've ever eaten!" My friend had mentioned Ritz Burgers to me a while back but we don't live in Shelton so I had forgotten. I was skimming through Yelp when I came across Ritz Burgers. Boy am I glad that we came through! The burgers were AMAZING! We had the double ritz with cheese, onion and bacon. It melted in my mouth! The fries were great. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The fry sauce was so yum. I also had to try a peanut butter shake as a suggestion from a fellow yelper. Just had them add chocolate and banana. Dude. Better than daddy O's and five guys. Yall need to try Ritz Burgers at least once! P.s. I rarely write reviews on here unless I'm wowed. P.s.s the owner was so sweet and funny!

Best darn Burger I've had in years. Owner was super cool and got our food out real fast as he overheard us saying we were in a hurry. Fed a family of 6 for under $25. Two double burgers, four regular burgers and three french fries. A double burger with fries for $5.50. Unheard of these days. Just a great little place to eat if you're passing through Shelton. Or, well worth the drive off of HWY 101 to try it out.
