First things first, the Food can be great! First time I had it, it was awesome!
Since then I've used there app three times, (app wants full access to everything on your device, including full time location, tracking everywhere you go, no thanks! Oh and you don't need access to my camera, contacts, and images just for me to order a sub!)
All three times using there app, I've had to wait for my subs to be made, even though I chose a pick up time, (if I'm late and my sub is cold, that's on me.)
Two of the three times I've used the app, we have not gotten our pickle Spears.
Used the app again tonight, the third time, and had to ask the kid for my son's rice Krispy treat. He told me, "sometimes I go a little brain dead."
We all do, but not when we work in a restaurant that's completely dead at the time, and there's one order to make.
I then had to tell this same kid that a kids drink was supposed to come with my son's meal.
"It does?" Was his response.
I told him I didn't need the drink anyways so no problem.
Get home. From firehouse subs to my house... 5 minutes.
My girlfriends sub is soggy, as is mine. Soggy in the bread being mush in our hands soggy.
On the app I requested "no ham" on my girlfriends sandwich.
When they made the sandwich I heard the manager that was on tell this kid, "no ham".
What does she find? Ham...
The kids grilled cheese was just fine, nothing wrong with that... thankfully.
Oh and when I walked in tonight to pick up my, supposed to be already made subs, I think them that I used the app.
Ok.
The same kid tried to ring me up for another almost 30 bucks!
Sorry kid, I paid through your app... doesn't your register tell you this?
Their staffing lacks experience, as does their management.
I love the sandwiches, but question whether I should ever bother using their app again, or just go in store, order, and watch them make them, so I can correct them every time they make...
Read morePassing through town while working and Firehouse subs sounded amazing after a long day on the road. I walked in and the place was like a ghost town except for 3 employees behind the counter. There wasn’t the usual “welcome to firehouse subs” like when they seem genuinely happy you’re there. One of the employees kinda mumbled something and I said, one sec - waiting for my husband. So we ordered and it took what seemed like longer than normal time (vs a FH subs with heavy traffic) to make two subs even though, as I said, we were the only ones there.
We placed our orders to go and the subs weren’t even put together correctly or any sort or neatness. Half of the meat and other items were spilled in the box. I ordered the turkey, bacon and ranch sub and the ranch sauce was everywhere so when I tried to pick up the sub, it got all over my hands. Probably the worst experience I’ve ever had at a firehouse subs - their service is usually pretty top notch. I know it was the middle of the day when we stopped in, but there was no excuse for the slowness of the employees, being we were the only ones there. This last month though has been completely outrageous, they must be under new management because personally I knew tristen. It was obvious she, including her staff were overworked and basically slaved to work under this company. Yet they all stayed respectful and joyful to their customers. Anyway there is a male who claims to be management which I've witnessed yell and turn red as a tomato TOWARDS HIS EMPLOYEES. Everyone one of those said employees are doing NOTHING but working as hard as can be to satisfy their customers. I'm reasonably disgusted by this behavior. After witnessing this I had actually talked to a lady who was serving me and she had relayed to me that not only one, but 4 people were drawn to revoke their job at firehouse to simply stop being harrased by 'Mitchel'? I will no longer spend money or even speak about Firehouse Subs, again. I really hope the other stressed out employees find it in themselves to find a work place that actually loves and cares for their team, as they should.
