Lone Pine Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Sheridan Township

We ate here at 3:30 in the afternoon, there was one other customer in the whole restaurant. We got our drinks and orders taken fairly quickly. Then waited 20-30 minutes for our food. My wife ordered steak that was supposed to come with a baked potato and a salad. She has soy and wheat allergies and the steak came with a sauce on it that has both and wasn't mentioned on the menu. When we asked about allergens the waitress said there was just seasonings in it. We asked to read the ingredient label and it said both on the packet in bold letters. They forgot her potato completely and it took over 20 minutes for them to bring it after we asked. They did make a new steak, but the one the brought out smelled terrible. We each took one bite to try it and couldn't even swallow it. The other three meals we ordered were fine but nothing special. The waitress never came back to check on us. Recently stopped in for lunch. I arrived a little past 11:00am. Waitress was friendly and professional. There were three tables around the same time and I overheard most ordering burgers. I ordered a mushroom and Swiss burger. The food came promptly. It was served open faced with top bun on side. The top bun was kinda smashed and had black sesame seeds on top. The bottom bun was a little smashed too. A single unmelted slice of American Swiss covers the patty. Underneath the cheese was seven sliver sliced grilled fresh mushrooms. A generous pile of burger dills sat next to the top bun. The burger was just okay. It tasted like a frozen patty. An expertly portioned by weight, smattering of fries completed the plate. You know, typically this place does very good service and the food isn't too bad most the time. But this time the service was below average. We waited 1 hour for our appetizer and another 45 minutes after the appetizer for our meal. Ordered chislic...rare...came in at medium. I know chislic can be tough to cook but come on this is their profession. It was dry and chewy. We ordered this before and it was fantastic in the past. Waitress never came by to see how we are doing. Had to ask for refill of drinks nor did she inquire of the meal. We ordered two orders of chislic both rare...again one was med the other was well done. Just not a good experience for a Wednesday night.
