Jersey's Great Food & Spirits — Restaurant in Shoreline

This has been our bar and restaurant since we moved here and was my dinner spot since 2011.

Menu has changed and location has changed but still the same friendly owners and great flavorful food.

I love Jerseys even when we couldn't make it during the pandemic for our normal sit down dates watching sport games and chatting with the manager.

We still made it a point to order by phone every other Friday night and we would still have our date nights just from our apartment living room. I'd drive about 22 minutes to pick up our food from Jerseys.

Was always just as good and the manager with his big fluffy dog would greet me at the door.

Even in the middle of a pandemic their friendliness and service did not lack or sway.

I appreciate you! Once more their kitchen is not celiac safe but, when I tell them I'm gluten free. They make sure change gloves, different pans and ask the cooks what dishes are 💯 gluten free and safe for me!

The picture above is their new vinaigrette salad with gf BBQ steak over mix greens, all the important vegetables and topped yummy gf feta cheese! I don't rate by stars but on authentic and you can't beat it at Jerseys!

I really wanted to like this spot, and the food and drinks were decidedly great, without question. However the ambiance was by far one of the worst I've ever experienced in a restaurant/bar. There was no music playing in the building so the smattering of conversations around felt amplified disproportionately and the noise and music coming from the kitchen were deafening at times. The high top tables in the bar area are ALL wobly and have coasters underneath them which still evidently does not fix the issue. There was also a smell that could be described as what you would get from putting your head over a gas camping stove or heater, some kind of exhaust that was rather pungent and gave me an instant headache. It also just felt dark in the room overall, but not a cozy way and since it was a chilly day, it was uncomfortable. These are all very fixable things so I don't feel like I'm being unreasonable in expecting an establishment like this to live up to slightly better standards in the atmosphere department. I'd be more than willing to give it another shot though, if any or all of these problems would...

I used to love going to this place when they had the original cook and a better staff. Last time I went there i had a terrible experience. I ordered their turkey club which was my favorite and the bartender seemed like she was drunk while serving us. She was very flushed in the face and was flirting with a customer the entire time. We ordered our food and took over and hour to receive it (AND IT WAS DEAD IN THE BAR) when we got the food the fries were cold but we didst say anything, I hate complaining! After we finished eating we waited another 20 minutes to get the check after multiple times trying to get her attention so we could get out of there and she was to busy flirting. I decided not to tip her because I was very unhappy with the service and few days later I look at my bank statement and she tipped her self $10. I called to speak with the manager Theadora and she said she would get back to me and never did. It was very disappointing and I felt scammed. I will never go there again and if you do make sure to check you bank account AND CHECK TO MAKE SURE the waitresses didn't tip...
