The manager at this Burger King at 106 e Jefferson in shorewood Il made statements like āI hate those pplā during and encounter regarding something left off our sandwiches. She began yelling at us(my husband & myself) at the top of her voice. She wouldnāt let us explain what the issue was. This manager was so loud that the employees began to walk to the back of the store like she does this often or before. When I ask if she could remake the food and Iāll pay her, her responses was āwhy would I make the food overā. So I ask for a refund she snatch the bag off the counter and began to start the refund so I tried one last time, asking if she could please remake the food Iāll pay for it bc I was trying to feed my family, and she took the bag thru it in the garbage and when my husband ask for the receipt she took the bag out the garbage and slam it back on counter and began yelling again telling us to get out and how we werenāt getting our money back and how she āhated ppl like usā We had to call the police and she began saying I hate those people sheās (referring to me) privilege. Once the police got there all of a sudden she became quiet needed my card to process the refund. Never mentioning to the officer what if anything we did wrong, it was like they were use to her racist antics and had been there before. I ask the officer what did she mean āthose peopleā I just wanna no who is those ppl! Isnāt that something a racist would say? Sheās definitely a racist. I hope Burger King decides to address this asap bc sheās a liability and a harzard for that store. she puts innocent ppl at risk with her racist behavior, refusing to give someone there hard earn money to antagonize a reaction is a deliberate act to get a rise out of people. Itās pretty disgusting to have that type of person working with the public making ppl of certain races feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. Iāll never ever go back there ever! -if I could rate this store with minis No stars bc sheās disgusting and has now offended a retired military vet over a sandwich. Now that weāve done some research weāre learning that shorewood has a horrible reputation of racism. Not too far away a man stab an 8yr old boy to death! Over racism!!! Disgusting!!! "Purchased a meal today from your shorewood, il location. Two chicken sandwiches and a large fri. Store was not busy and service was friendly. On the otherhand the food was miserable to eat. The fries were fresh but the sandwiches clearly were not. Both by appearance and taste i Know that these sandwiches had been sitting for quite sometime. Maybe even premade because you could tell the lettuce and tomato were soggy and warm as if they had been on the sandwich for awhile. The meat portion of the sandwich was in no way crispy and almost rubbery along with visually burnt appearance. I snapped a few photos too If your would like. I not a fan of complaining and almost can not stand when people do over petty issues but I truly felt after a day of hard work simply having a meal that is not stale that I paid for is not hard to ask. He got angry. Also, when I asked if he wanted to put extra cheese on my burger, he sarcastically responded, "Does that cost more money?" Obviously, I know that any extra has an economic cost. He tried to belittle me because I paid with coins. I took a video recording to report it to corporate. The man came out to the parking lot to yell at me, saying he was the manager. He asked me why I took pictures. I told him his attitude wasn't good, that I'm a customer and I'm paying for a service.
Also, the manager came out of the restaurant and took pictures of me and my license plate. I told him I could wait outside for him to call the police. But he continued yelling at me, asking why I took a video and that he was the manager of that place. I told him, "If you're the manager, you have to respect the customers, even if they pay with coins." Paying with coins isn't illegal... You can check the establishment's cameras.
