Not traditional greek food at all it isn't cooked on a vertical spit like it is everywhere else either. The restaraunt itself is clean but the food is very bland. I ordered a greek salad with gyro meat while pointing at the display they had on the counter not sure the cashier noticed because she was very disinterested in us. We sat and a few moments later what they brought out was a pita wrap with a greek salad stuffing (no meat). They offered to fix it i said no that's okay ill just take one greek salad with gyro meat to go and paid for it. When they brought it out it had beef in it. I could smell the beef, see that it was beef and my trained medical/allergy alert dog they watched me walk in with told me...HEY THAT'S BEEF, YOU CAN'T EAT THAT. I asked them if they maybe made a mistake and they said no thats lamb. I said okay i guess i will just give it to my sister then. I was going to leave it at that but then they decided to come back to my table after a couple minutes and argue that it was lamb and was just cut like beef. I no longer left it alone and asked for a refund on it since they decided to argue more. They did issue The refund and said they would make it again. (which is why i am giving 2 stars for at least trying) Had my dog check it despite knowing exactly what it was by looking at it. Still beef. I left it alone but will not be returning. Either they are not cleaning properly between cooking meats or they don't know...
Read moreThe cliche "Good Wine, Good Food, Good Friends," applies when you are at Taziki's the new Mediterranean Restaurant on Line Ave. Fortunately for me, I had the privilege of serving them, as well as being served by them. Being a Certified ServSafe Instructor/Proctor, I am often in restaurants of various kinds and I see all sort of things both good and not so good; but, when I visited Taziki's to render my service, I witnessed excellent service, friendly smiles, and safe food being served. The Management Team, being led by Victor Hassell are a very dedicated group of men and women who are veterans in the Food Service Industry and are committed to serve not only "Good Food, but Safe Food." After Certifying a part of the management team, I had the pleasure of consuming the food and I must say, "SUCCULENT and DIVINE, DELICIOUS, and NUTRITIOUS," which simply means: "That Food was GOOD!!!! Just so happen, I had to return two days later to finish certifying the team, and as I was certifying the Management Team member there was a class on serving alcohol safely; which says, "This company is serious about (1) GREAT SERVICE, (2) SAFE FOOD, and (3) GOOD FOOD." So if you are looking for a change of pace from the traditional Southern Fried/Smother Food, then go to...
Read moreI am giving it a 3 because everything was okay except for cleanliness and eatery. The tables get picked up but not wiped down after each customer sits there. My table was sticky and I kept thinking about what made it sticky. The restrooms are clean except the stalls and walls are in need of a major wipe down too. The minute we went to order the service was excellent he welcomed us and greeted us with a smile. The menu is good except y’all need dalmadas and exotic tea! My chicken portobello mushroom sandwich was divine!!! I would get it again it was so tasty. The cost was definitely comparable if not cheaper than others. And the food comes out rarely quick! Not a huge fan of plain ruffle chips and I got the tomato cucumber salad, it had a Greek flavor to it. Wasn’t bad I just like it a little different. The chicken on the salad looked and tasted microwaved. The hummus is really good! The plastic fork is not adequate for eating a salad. It is flimsy, cheap, and tiny. The overall experience was good and I loved the staff so I will be back and hopefully can rate them a...
