The Organic Juice Dude — Restaurant in Sierra Madre

My folks recommended this place as soon as they opened. They are a family owned business that are fairly new in town. So I decided to give them a try and welcome them to the neighborhood as I visited my folks for the holidays. My expectations were build by my father. I understand they might be new and all but boy it was disappointing. Not only were the young workers rude when taking my orders but they couldn't customize an already drink they had on their menu to one less ingredient that I'm particularly allergic to. This was recommended by my father I must order. The young female was not accommodating flat out replying saying "we don't mix ingredients, what you see is what you get" a bit condescending. I wasn't sure how to respond. All I asked was if she can remove not add. I didn't deserve the attitude. My wife also was disappointed, she ordered a delicious sandwich my father recommended aswell. My wife bit into the sandwich but half way in the sandwich called "Hero" was supposed to be fairly warm out the oven but was cold in the middle and after the rudeness we were given we decided not to address the young woman behind the counter. The meat smelled out of date too. All and all we were disappointed and my wife and I decided before leaving if we can speak to the manager but was told he's never there. A bold statement. My question is, is anyone looking after the place looks unkempt, dirty & absent management.... that adds up. No...

After living out of a suitcase and feeling the negative effects of months of frozen dinners in Airbnbs, TOJD has really helped kick start my health back in a positive direction. The juices are all ultra smooth and delicious (my favorite is the Morning Energizer which has just enough cayenne peper to give it a slight kick without being overpowering) and subtlety blended. Disappointed. Ordered two lemon ginger shots because they were out of the turmeric shot? The employee grabs it out of the fridge and hands it to us. They weren’t even made fresh to order.

The “passion fruit” smoothie tasted like water and oat milk. I didn’t know a smoothie with mango and pineapple could resemble none of those.

I opted to choose local instead of going to Whole Foods for a really freaking amazing wellness shot. I regret that decision and will not be going back!
