Angelina's Pizza & Subs — Restaurant in Siesta Key

Being from the NE areas (Philly, NJ, NY, + living in Rome, Italy ) it's near impossible to "locate" decent nor edible Pizza, let alone EXCELLENT pizza in Sarasota FL. Look NO further. ANGELINA'S Pizza is one of the best I've had here . Shud you desire really good Italian food and not want to make it yourselves, "Angel's" Pasta dishes, baked Ziti w/meat sauce, Tortillini + especially her "blush sauce" can't be beat. Calzones are yummy, too! Not forgetting their Meatball Appetizer...nor the Large Antipasta + their Cannolis and Cheesecake are also winners! Prices are more than reasonable + the amount is enough for at least two. All employees at this family run biz, are friendly, accommodating, and offer in house delivery at a whopping price of $2.99! (+ TIP, of course) Genuine smiles are free! Atmosphere rated lower just for those whom want to "Dine In" . This is take-out or delivery only. Do yourselves a favor. The next time you crave really good Pizza and/or other "Real" tasteful Italian foods + Subs + Appetizers, CALL...

I didn't go into the place so I don't know how the atmosphere is...thats why I did not rate it. I will start by saying the girl that answered the phone was very friendly and engaging. I ordered a simple pepperoni pizza... In my opinion that's the The standard to which all pizza should be measured. I ordered it well done but not burnt, and it was cooked perfectly. Crispy, not soggy. Tasted great. I also ordered the Italian sub which is listed as a cold sub on the menu I asked for them to toast it and they did. It was very tasty... Everything was very fresh. I personally like a crispier crustier type roll, but in this case the roll was too soft. But I cannot downgrade them for that because of my personal tastes. It was delivered well before the hour that they anticipated, and the delivery person was very nice...the fact that it was pouring rain did not hinder her attitude one bit and she still showed up with a smile. So refreshing nowdays. I will definitely be ordering...

I’ve been in the food service industry for over 45 years and I have enjoyed some very good pizzas in cities that are famous for their pies. Chicago, Boston, New York, Philly and New Haven.

Moving down to Florida back a few years ago I had all but given up on finding the perfect pizza joint until I somehow got turned around on the other side of Sarasota and decided to give this quaint little place a try.

Friends, if you’re within 50 miles of this shop then shame on you for not experiencing one of world’s best pizza places in the entire southeast.

You don’t just taste the freshness of the perfect dough and expertly blended cheeses but this dining experience will take your taste buds on carnival. Bursting with flavor and perfection this is by far one of the best pizzas I have ever had!!!

KUDOS to this husband and wife duo for bringing true Italian pizza and cuisine to Sarasota!!! Can’t wait to get lost on the wrong side...
