I’m new to the US and I am the biggest cookie monster there could ever be. I made it a mission this year to find the best cookie this wonderful country has to offer. Let me tell you Clarabell Cookies is #1 on the list by a long-shot. Everything is perfect, the texture has nice golden crispy edges and this amazing gooey inside. The taste is simply out of this world and you can tell the ingredients used are nothing but the highest quality possible. The price is very modest for the quality you get. To all other cookie monsters out there, these cookies beat Levain’s and Gideon’s with ease. I had a chance to meet and chat with the owner, she is sweet and welcoming, you can see the passion and excitement she has for her craft and store and it is admirable. This place is absolutely amazingggggg! I have to confess… I’m an absolute cookie addict which makes it rare for me to say a cookie is 5 stars but WOW, Clarabell has a secret recipe that will get you hooked after 1 visit.

First off, Clarabell is the sweetest and runs the shop with her brother who bakes the cookies in the back. Talk about fresh! The classic chocolate chip cookie came fresh out of the oven for me and was hands down the best cookie I’ve ever had. Authentic, pure, high quality ingredients. Soft in the middle and perfectly cooked.

I couldn’t stop there… ordered 4 more flavors: double chocolate, peanut butter, cocoa and oatmeal. They all continued to melt in my mouth as I sampled each.

Great cookies and the owner was very sweet. She explained to me what type of ingredients are used and was excited for my first time being there. You have to appreciate the cookie For what it is.. don’t come in here with the mindset of comparing to other popular brands.. remember.. these are as authentic and fresh as cookies can get! And they are soft and delicious. No added chemicals, sweeteners or any of the “harmful stuff” you may find in bigger franchises. Give it a try. Would love to see more flavors on the menu!
