Mia's Vietnamese Cuisine FL — Restaurant in Siesta Key

We tried out Mai's for dinner last night and really enjoyed our meal!

My wife got the Chicken Curry with Sweet Potato and Taro, which was an absolutely delicious soup, with a wonderful curry broth with the most tender chicken I have ever tasted.

My dad got the Grilled Shrimp Bun (Rice Vermicelli), which looked fresh and amazing. I didn't try it, but he really enjoyed his dish. He said the shrimp was beautifully seasoned and the Bun was cooked just right! The vegetables were super fresh and tasty!

I got the Pork and Wonton in Chicken Broth, and loved it! The broth was delicious and a bit delicate! Full of flavor, but, still light and bright. The wontons were delicious and cooked perfectly, as was the pork! I'd definitely get it again, but, am looking forward to trying more of their dishes on our next visit!

Here we go…. We moved to Sarasota about 4 years ago from an area with plenty of Vietnamese restaurants. I was introduced to Vietnamese cuisine in 2004 by my former Vietnamese boss. Since then I have tried Vietnamese in several countries in Europe as well as all over North America. Finding GOOD Vietnamese food in Sarasota county was impossible. I had almost given up. THAT CHANGED WEDNESDAY NIGHT! This place is AMAZING! Yes it is clean. Yes it has nice ambiance. But I am a foodie. I judge by the food coming out of the kitchen. We absolutely loved the food and service at Mia’s! Everything was great. We started out with spring rolls and they were fantastic, especially with the sauce. It’s a really good appetizer that I will get every time we go there. The beef cubes were flavored SO good and served with white rice but I upgraded to the pork fried rice - worth it! We were also pleasantly surprised by the fresh drinks offered. I ordered a lemonade and my daughter got a smoothie. Both were very refreshing - you can tell hand made quality; we’ll get them again.
