Guthrie's Restaurant — Restaurant in Signal Mountain

The food is great, always nice and hot and not just dripping with grease, but the menu is kind of small by many standards. And if you are budget eating then no point in stopping here, the menu items are pretty expensive. But don't let that stop you from eating good food. My only problem was that the staff work long-ish shifts, and they get to the point where I went in at 7:00 and they start complaining that I cant hang out if I don't buy something (which I was), and that they cant give me free tap water, even though I wasn't going to ask for it. then the worker saying all of this, complained to the lady behind me after I got a fountain drink about kids my age coming and asking if the water is free. Now I know your not legally obligated to give tap water, but I live in the south and on a 90 degree hot and humid summer day, the courteous thing to do would be just to give the little kid some water out of the faucet or something. But don't let any of this change your thoughts on this nice establishment, it has great food if you can put up with...

I dont write reviews for many places but this is one i couldn't wait to write . i came into the restaurant today to get food and by chance maybe say hello to a family member that sadly works in this establishment. The store manager yelled and screamed at me for asking if someone was working that day before i placed my order. " your not about to sit and hang out here all day like yesterday" i havent beem here in almost a year .....Then she began to play 21 questions on who i was and why i was there. Needles to say i wont be back .last time i came into this fine establishment i noticed a employee not washing their hands after relieving themselves in the washroom. The chicken tenders are wonderfully crispy on the outside and juice on the inside and their fries are cooked to perfection. I would’ve given 5 stars but the service is lacking. I was going through the drive thru and had just ordered when I realized I had a coupon I had just received at the doctors office(reason why I decided to give them another chance). I was very apologetic and let the young person at the window know that I completely forgot to mention it and they said it was okay and let someone else know. The older lady that walked up was not as kind and seemed generally annoyed and snapped “you need to let us know when you’re ordering” as I continued to apologize again.
