I really looked forward to eating here. It's rare that I'm in Siloam and I'm a huge brick oven pizza guy, so the raving reviews here intrigued my interest. Sadly, after getting the pizza, I found it to be overly floppy. I mean like a wet noodle, eat it with fork, floppy. No real man likes a floppy pizza. That's why we eat brick oven pizza, little to no flop. We hate the flop. Just fantastic flavor and a nice, slightly-flame-toasted crust 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼 mmm. Anywho, I was cool about it, because after seeing the pics of this pizza and the reviews, I believe this place is better than that. Pretty sure the cook just fubared my pizza. It happens.. So I called and took the pizza back. They were super apologetic, and offered me to keep the pie, and make they would make me a new one. I really didn't have time to wait for another pie so I elected for a refund, to which they eagerly obliged. So, 3/5 stars simple because I didn't get to experience the pizza I know this place is known for. However, I will go back and try again! And after that, I will come back and update-edit my review here. I'm looking forward to it.
Until next...
Read moreAbout a decade and a half ago I sold everything I owned to move to Italy briefly and then Sicily. It was very much a chubby man's food tour. It spoiled me beyond what I could understand at the time. Since returning to America I have been on a search for a pizza here even close to an average pizza there. Today I found it a Fratelli's. I ordered a Margarita pizza for myself because if a place can't do that right they should put the Peel away. It was so good, I have worked fast food pizza places to artisanal pizzerias. From conveyor belt assembly line ovens to top of the line gas brick ovens. Nothing I could make at these places compares to the wood oven taste.
Idk. I am an unintentional pizza snob. If you are too go try something here, they have a diverse menu. Pick what sounds good. The server was amazing, the food was amazing. We ordered WAY too much and had to bring close half of what...
Read moreWhat a neat little pizza joint downtown in Siloam Springs. They have a tremendous number of out of the ordinary pizza combinations. This is definitely a place to stop if you are tired of chain pizza. We started with Cheesy Pesto Breadsticks. These were really good, with the pesto really elevating the flavor of the breadsticks. Our daughter had a 3 pigs Stromboli, which she really enj6oyed. My wife and I had a half Un sacco di Pepperoni Pizza and half 1492. I must say the gorgonzola cheese on the 1492 added a very pleasant bite to the pizza cutting through the sweetness of the tomato sauce for a very unique flavor profile. It's definitely worth trying. The gelato, while not made in the house, was still very good and a satisfying way to end the meal. I will add that with a name like Fratelli's, they have to add, "The Sloth". It would be a Baby Ruth inspired desert...
