La Huerta — Restaurant in Siloam Springs

The restaurant was clean! No flies this time. Linda, our server was amazing. If it wasn't for outstanding service I would give service 1 star and my overall stars would be 1. The young boy who works at the front counter needs better training. He doesnt do well and he probably only has a job because he is family or friends with the restaurant. He was not polite or friendly when we arrived. The food was great just as we ordered. Larger portions than usual. Linda promptly refilled our drinks, even brought us more chips when needed. She was quick, very friendly and while the restaurant was busy she made sure to check on us many times. Trying to pay was the other side of the coin. We waited at the counter for nearly 10 min. After 5 minutes I went over to the kitchen doorway to ask if we can pay. A male waiter saw me and didn't acknowledge that I was there. A table cleaning girl was 2 feet away from me obviously and didn't even care to look at me as I told her twice that I was ready to pay. There were at least 3 nonkitchen staff members standing around the kitchen and didnt even notice me! Finally after 5 minutes of waiting by the kitchen door the unfriendly young boy who took us to our table came out. Didn't apologize for the wait, ask how our food was or even say hello or look at us in the eye as we paid. He was just busy smacking his lips loudly chewing bubble gum with his mouth open as we paid. If it wasn't for Linda's excellence quality of service we would not have given any tip, we gave her about 30% tip. Things aren't normally this bad, I hope the owner gets the employees...

If I could give 2 1/2 stars I would. After reading several reviews prior to eating here, they make it sound as if it's a diamond in the rough. There's no diamond.... It's just rough. I'll start with the positive...we were seated promptly. Our waitress wasn't rude but wasn't nice. I got the 'c'mon, c'mon, sit down, what do you want? Ok, ok, yeah yeah hurry up ' vibe... We ordered...the food was ok, my son enjoyed the tacos but the meat was dry, my husband's food wasn't finished (which never happens)... I had a cheese quesadilla... We had to ask for silverware... Were not asked if we needed anything else....(we needed napkins!) So I went to the bathroom and got paper towels. When our waitress brought out food, she was talking to other guests with her head turned away from us... And did refill my husband and sons drink once but sat both cups in front of me upon her return, while talking to the same guests with her head turned away still..... My silverware came with salsa on it, so did our menus... Pre-dirtied! So we didn't feel like guests. I thought I'd leave a more in depth review to paint a picture... instead of the usual "food was ok, service awful"... We're here from out of state and wouldn't recommend this...

SERVICE IS ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!!!! One of the servers, i didn’t catch her name because she did not introduced herself, took no time to acknowledge the fact that me and my friend were sitting at the table and when she finally did it had been 30 minutes sitting there since we got our drinks and our chips but didn’t take long to get us cheese, but the order itself took another 20 minutes and then she proceeded to charge me wrong for my order because she did not specify the menu items correctly and had terrible service regarding asking me what was preferred or what was available. And there was only four other tables in the restaurant, so there was no excuse to have waited that long for my order or for the service. And then she proceeded to argue with me about taking the items that were ordered incorrectly off my ticket, so I had to threaten to ask the manager and talk to the manager for even anything to proceed. And then she shoved the tacos in my face, and proceeded to tell me it is trash, which, then I proceeded to tell her I already know because I am myself a server, and if it touches the table, it is trash, but if it is ordered incorrectly, then you have to take it off of the ticket out...
