Long John Silver's | KFC — Restaurant in Silver Spring Township

Always have loved LJS - no one else approaches the same overall product quality. Recent visit was disappointing but doesn't affect our affinity for LJS. I drove all the way from Adams County to Mechanicsburg and arrived in plenty of time before closing. Combination KFC/LJS facility. The doors were locked early, and some guests were trapped inside as they shared with me thru the door - CLEAR OSHA VIOLATION. I tried all doors and employee inside ignored me as I knocked. She let the guests out through a back door, without responding to me at the front door. Finally, I had to get back in my car and go around to the drive-thru speaker (I am disabled but highly functional). A very courteous employee took my order and explained to me that they had to start cooking my order, 6 pcs of fish, 6 chicken planks, and an order of hushpuppies. It took quite some time - from my arrival to departure was just over an hour. It was so late when I arrived back home we had to wait for the next day. But even after the lengthy, unexpected delay, our air fryer returned LJS product to satisfactory condition. We love LJS, and we will still return - even in the face of potential extraordinary delay. Need thorough management review to eliminate unnecessary customer...

I've been to this location twice in the past few months, and I am absolutely astounded by the rudeness of the employees both times. The first time was in July 2024, and the poor girl was so overworked doing everything (front counter order taking and order fullfilling and drive through) that she had no choice but to be short with people. But the second time, there was no excuse. It was in August 2024, and the young man really couldn't have been more hateful. While he was taking orders, he was very short with us, and his body language communicated that we were ruining his life. When he filled our beverages, he slammed the cups down on top of the pop machine for us to walk over to get them rather than handing them to us (and telling us which was which). When we finally got our food, I asked for ketchup and vinegar. He brought over a handful of packets and threw them in our food rather than on the tray. I called him out (up until this point, I'd tolerated his attitude) and he argued with me. Unreal. I live in Iowa, and Long John Silver's is a treat for my mom and me when I go out to visit her. But, after these 2 experiences, we'll just wait to go when she comes...

I was on my way home at 7:30pm last night and my kids were hungry. I was going to take them into the dining room so they could use the bathroom and so we could eat so they didn't have to wait another 45 minutes before they could eat. The dining room was closed. Waited at the outdoor menu board 15 minutes before they tried taking my order. Had to wait 20 minutes for pot pies to be cooked and after that was told I had to wait another 8 minutes for the fish to be cooked. Ordered 3 2 pc fish 1 pc chicken and and 3 shrimp platters. Only got 2 platters and weren't even what I ordered. Ordered 16 hush puppies and never got any of them. Never hot the pot pie that I waited over 20 minutes for and ordered 2 famous bowls but only received 1. Went back thru the drive thru and was told that they couldn't do anything for me that late at night. Ended up giving one daughter my chicken sandwich meal and my other 2 daughters ended up sharing my fish chicken shrimp platter. All 3 employees were very rude to me especially the 2 gentlemen. I stop in here at least 4 times a week and I will NEVER go into this specific...
