I have to first apologize because I do not recall the names of the people who helped me.
I hosted an alumni Thanksgiving dinner for my former theatre students on Wednesday. We were taking precautions and that included abandoning our traditional potluck style in favour of catering. There was a need for individually packaged meals however (not sharing food spaces/utensils/etc), so instead of the typical catering option, we decided it was best to order a dozen meals. I opted for meals that had the two side options. The order was ready and waiting in a convenient bag when I arrived. I glanced into the bags and saw all meals accounted for and some sides as well. I have never done carry out from Nando’s before, so I just assumed the sides were also inside the boxes of chicken. I got home and guests immediately began arriving. As we unpacked the food, I soon realized we had only 8 sides. By this point, I had a full party and unfortunately, no one but myself was able to drive. I couldn’t leave. I called the restaurant and explained my situation to a young woman (Maria? Cynthia? I don’t recall!) who said they didn’t have another bag that I’d missed but would make the sides fresh. When I explained I couldn’t leave, she then offered to find someone who could drive it over. Within forty minutes, a gentleman had dropped off 16 missing sides, all freshly made and ready to be consumed. He even called as a follow up to ensure I had picked them up (I live in a building that asks food deliveries to be left with the concierge for pick up). It was the easiest “oops” moment I’ve ever encountered and I cannot say enough about the support and patient and helpful customer service received from this location. There was no moment of “what now?” or trying to cut down on portions to ensure everyone had enough to eat. I am so truly grateful to both the person who took my call and the gentleman who left to drive them to us in time for our traditional thanksgiving dinner....
Read moreOn the return trip from DC to Columbia, MD at the very end of last month (6/14), we stopped by this restaurant to grab food for our visiting family, extolling the virtues of their flavorful, fast and reasonably priced fare.
Upon opening up the food at home, our order of wings was halved, and fries were missing for my sandwich. I assumed it was an error in that we ordered our wings with two different kinds of sauces and saw how that could easily happen. Disappointed, I phoned the restaurant immediately, the manager took my email address, and assured me when he had the opportunity, he would send a voucher. As we love their food, a voucher would have been a welcome reimbursement.
3 days later, no email. I contacted customer service via their website and received no response.
On July 2, 2014, I contacted both facebook and their online customer service to request that this matter be settled in a fashion that would satisfy me. The following day I received an email stating that they didn't have my address, but that the online form did pick it up this time and that they were mailing a voucher to me at my home address. It is now July 17, and my confidence in this establishment is officially shot.
I have never had a concern so brazenly ignored by a restaurant that made an error with food for our family. Don't waste your time going here. There's a bounty of choices in downtown Silver Spring that value loyal customers and provide excellent food...

The young lady went to the office to let him know. The manger did not come out to speak to us. we waited to speak to him 1 hour . I had to go back to the front desk, and ask to speak to him for a second time. When he finally came out after, being called twice to speak to him. He said the young lady inform him of the situation, and he was on the phone to call a contractor. He did not apologies to us at all. He acted like this is a normal situation that happens on a daily bases. He did not offer us anything to compensate the unfortunate event . we go to restaurant to dine a lot not once we experience such treatment . This is horrify me for others as well. i will be meeting with the Health department in Montgomery county to share in detail. People should not be siting in a table with mice running in a Restaurant and with a horrible manger. we paid fully for our meal .
