I used to really really love this place it "WAS" the best place in town for really good and really unique food that was well cooked and perfectly seasoned. However recently they made some large changes, some good some not good. First, I appreciate that they condensed all the orders to one location and streamlined the pickup process. Now the bad they eliminated nearly all of the best dishes OK yes they still have the hot pot and the Kaizen Champon but they no longer have the Kraken (my personal favorite) or the Strogatini (my wifes favorite) they also no longer have the Redbean Baklava or the Ube Macaroons. I can understand eliminating a large chunk of the menus to eliminate the items that are not selling (although i really loved the kraken pasta dish I understand that not every one likes to eat Octopus) , but I feel like maybe they cut too much (not once did I ever visit this place and not see a bowl of Strogatini served to at at least 2 tables before I ordered my food). Finally, the quality of the food has recently dipped considerably, too. Twice now, since the new changes, we have come in and found that the food was not properly cooked. I've come in with a group, and it was every dish we as a group had ordered. With a variety of different problems. Over cooked eggs, under cooked chicken, steamed veggies that smelled and tasted like fish gone bad. Rice that had an unusual chalky texture, Curry served to the table hot but with a weird film on top, and over cooked ramen that was the consistency of clay. These things never happened before the recent changes to the menu and the update to the order and pick up consolidation. But now they are happening and have happened on 2 separate visits with a group both times. In between visits, I have also had friends go to this place and tell me that the food was not properly cooked on their visits either. I don't know why they made the changes they did, or why they eliminated some of our favorite dishes, but I don't think we will be back...
Read moreUpdate December 2023. This place has definitely been killing it. Menu has expanded alot and the food is really really good! Been here 20+ times since its opened. Adding 1 stars to make it 4. Best Asian food on the peninsula
I think curry and all noodle dishes are a little bland. Bao addition is great

I wanted soooo bad for this place to be a homerun like peters kitchen, but here is my Korean wife and my honest breakdown:
Atmosphere: 10/10 inviting and tons of seating. It is cool that there are 3 separate ordering locations. Cons- very confusing when you first enter. Signs directing customers are almost non existant....the place was empty and I was still super confused where to order. It's still in soft opening phase, but I really hope they add music. A restraunt without good catchy music brings a whole different vibe, and invites people to relax and enjoy their stay.
Food: This is where the loss of stars happened. Great extensive menus, so I chose the Korean staples. Korean fried chicken: taste was bland. Heat level was perfect. I got spicy flavor, and it was a 5.2/10 . It really needs some soy sauce or garlic to amp up the flavor. Tteokbokki: Somthing was just off 3/10. Possibly the gochujang was too thin, and had a sour taste, additionally, I ordered spicy and it was mild at best. Yubu Chobap: 10/10 delicious. Spicy salmon and tuna was delicious and filling. For only $3 this was a great deal.
Boba: in a world where endless boba customization, and wild creations rain Supreme, I felt a little underwhelmed by the menu. I would have really loved to see a coffee or chocolate option. Boba 6.5/10
*I ate takeout during a soft opening, and will definitely return to try other dishes and adjust my score once the restraunt is...
Read moreSome of the best you'll get in the state! Me and my mom went here for a quick bite to eat with relatively low expectations. And we were blown out of the water! The service was great and our food came out quick and dispite what other people say the ordering system was quite simple.
Now onto the food. My mom got the fried tofu curry. The tofu was very crispy on the outside and still silly smooth on the inside. And the curry was simple but still a delicious pairing with the perfectly cooked tofu. My takeaway is that I wish they added potatoes and carrots or other add-in's to make it a bit more next level.
And as for me I got the kaarage chicken and mushroom garlic noodles. Starting off the noodles were cooked perfect just a bit more than al dente. The chicken was crispy and tender and had a nice subtle soy sauce flavor from the marinade. The mushrooms and garlic tied the dish together and the mushrooms were tender but still had a nice chew and mouth feel.
Now onto the drinks. I ordered the cookies and cream smoothie with boba which wasn't overpoweringly sweet and it had a very subtle bit of salt in it which helped enhance the chocolate flavor. And the texture and mouth feel wasn't grainy or rough. My mom ordered the matcha man which again wasn't overpoweringly sweet and it still kept that earthy and pleasant matcha flavor which I've noticed gets lost a lot of times because of too much sweetener and too little matcha powder. And the boba for both was cooked perfectly.
The staff were incredible and the fried tofu is some of the best me and my mom have ever had.
Side note, if you're grumbling about the price of the dishes I promise you it's worth it and you get a huge portion of food and your...
