Vapollo Restaurant — Restaurant in Simi Valley

Guys ill be quick. I've lived in simi my whole life and I rarely do reviews. I totally thought this was just going to be another passable hole in the wall place and was instantly humbled. This place has phenomenal Mediterranean food. Id argue its as good or even better than Greek house and I cant recommend enough to come and give this a chance because simi needs more restaurants like this that actually serve quality food. My girlfriend and I had the Chicken Shawarma plate and pork Shawarma wrap. It was served was in house made hummus that is easily the best you can find in town and harissa. The meat was tender, juicy, and flavorful and the Lavash bread is also made in house. We also had ant colonies for dessert and my first time trying the treats and it was also splendid. I recently visited Vapollo, and wow, what a great experience! From the moment I walked in, I loved the cozy yet stylish atmosphere. It felt welcoming without trying too hard, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, which made the whole visit even better.

The food was absolutely delicious. Every dish was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. You can really tell they use fresh, high-quality ingredients, and everything tasted homemade in the best way. I especially loved the pancakes which was perfect for breakfast. It’s the kind of meal that makes you pause after the first bite and just say, “Wow.”

What I really appreciated was how comfortable and relaxed the whole experience felt, no rushing, just good food, great service, and a place that clearly cares about what they do.

This is our first time going to Vapollo. This is where Guido's was previously located. The inside was remodeled and there is ample seating for dining in. The vibe is a relaxing and cozy. The staff is very friendly and attentive. We ordered the beef lula, chicken lula, and beef kabob. The food was made fresh and you could definitely tell. The plates come with assorted grilled vegetables, rice, and the meat. The presentation was beautiful. We all tried each other's food and could not decide which one was our favorite. We were so pleased with everything! The chefs trained in Greece and Italy and definitely know what they are doing. Next time, we will be trying the various pasta and pizza options they have. We are so happy there is a new restaurant that is not a clone of all the others in Simi. This is a delicious family...
