Donuts Plus — Restaurant in Simi Valley

I stopped by to get a couple doughnuts with my kid and I, special a couple chocolate bars, a crumb and orange glaze. I go to pay and the total is $11 and some change for four run of the mill doughnuts. I figured because of COVID and all that most places prices have increased but not $2.50+ a doughnut, but I already had them and wasn't going to be a "Karen" about it. Now here's where the 1-star rating comes in, I didn't have enough cash so I wanted to pay with a card (seems to be the preferred choice of payment for most places now due to "no-contact") I see a sign that says a .35 fee will be added, okay I get that. But then I pay and my total is $15.90!!!!!! How can you go to $11 and some change to $15.90 with just a ".35" service fee? Even with tax, service fee and the other made up COVID fees I don't see how you can justify paying almost $4.00 a doughnut for your generic, run of the mill basic doughnut.

I've learned my lesson and will no longer be going to this...

Place was really cool. People were very friendly and helpful. Donuts are ridiculously huge!!! And their boba coffee drinks are so good. Prices are really good. Crazy cheap for how big the donuts are and the drinks are good sized as well as just cheap for a iced coffee drink. Recommend to anyone in the area who wants cheap coffee or other boba beverages or breakfast or a snack because you definitely get your money's worth here. The donuts are freshly baked and delicious every day, the coffee is amazing, the iced tea is exquisite and freshly brewed when you order. The staff are extremely nice and my family and I always come here for donuts, iced tea, coffee, etc. The staff is always delighted to see us, and they remember just what we like!
