Tacos & Beer — Restaurant in Slidell

If I could rate this place negative stars, I would.

We ordered birria tacos but somehow, they forgot the entire birria sauce you know, the whole point of birria tacos. Without the consomé, all we had were dry, cold tacos that looked like regret wrapped in a tortilla. Not only were they skimpy on the filling, but they also came cold, like they came straight off the kids’ menu at the DMV.

We tried to call and instead of an apology or solution they hung up on us

My sister went up there in person to speak to someone giving them a chance to fix it. But instead of accountability, she got condescension. The employee spoke to her with attitude and hands flying.

When my sister calmly pointed out the cold tacos and missing consomé, the girl barbie told her “we don’t control food temperatures” and refused to remake the order or offer something else. No empathy & no professionalism, just attitude and disrespect. She then offers a refund when she told her to refund it she says she cant do it only doordash can do it. When she asked for a manager they said no one was on duty. What kind of business opens without a manager? She left the food at the restaurant because why deal with people who treat you that way?

This isn’t just about tacos. This is about basic customer service and common decency. If you can’t provide a quality product or handle complaints without escalating them, maybe you’re in the wrong business.

The server was good and the food was good. HOWEVER, the end of our experience was horrible and I will never come back.

I ordered a virgin margarita. The server said unfortunately it's premade so I cannot order one, but then proceeded to say that they do have a fancier margarita that he can freshly squeeze the fruit into and just not add the alcohol. Perfect! I ordered a large.

When the server brought the drink to the table I asked if it was virgin drink (AGAIN) just to make sure. The server insisted alcohol free.

Fast forward to the end of the meal, the server came over clearly nervous and proceeded to tell me that it turns out he accidentally put alcohol in my drink and asked if I wanted virgin because of a health reason. I explained why I can't drink. He felt horrible but it turns out it was 40 proof 80 percent alcohol.

I stopped drinking it immediately. I was upset. My friend asked if we could have it taken off of the bill since that is not what I ordered and I was not going to finish the drink now. The manager came over with a rude attitude to discuss the situation. My friend and I explained the situation.

Ultimately the manager refused to take the drink off of our bill and was rude about the situation. I payed $15 for a drink that was made incorrectly and that I couldn't finish.

I love the food here but service is just the worst!!! Incompetent and Rude I ordered a over $70 of food (same as always and I order frequently) And tip 30% ON TAKE OUT

Got the wrong cake Didn’t get my ceviche (the person in the phone repeated it but didn’t know how to pronounce it so I remembered!) Pretty sure her name was Marie

Called Jason to tell him and he couldn’t spell my name (Mary) even after I asked him if he knew the Virgin Mary mother of god… he still didn’t know what came after the Mar__!

Spelling my last name was fun! He said I would have a credit in a note in the back. I said thank you and since he didn’t say your welcome ma’am or apologize I told him you’re welcome!

Sat down to eat my dessert n got the wrong cake too and now they won’t answer the phone!

So I guess I’ll email the owner!

If they can’t hear then have a phone in another room! If they work there know the menu! If you work in service industry——maybe get training on manners Maybe owners should start having training classes!

We are always a small order of 2-4 people I can only imagine how much they screw up on large others

I will def stop tipping well maybe that will improve the service or at least make me feel like I got what I paid for!
