I've been coming here for many years. I've seen it go through a lot of changes. It has a piece of the World Trade Center as a memorial. The carved frog has rotted out and is now barely recognizable. There are a lot of events that take place here. I walk to the park nearly every day. I get to see all events as they prepare for them. There is a playground for kids. There is a boat launch for the bayou. A stage for the many events. Has a great Christmas festival. Movie night at the park. But I love just walking around the park nearly every day and looking at the ducks.

I love this park. It holds many social events and the Christmas decorations are beautiful. The sunset over the bayou is stunning. They recently redid the children's play area and my grandson loved it. My brother and I are there almost every day. We walk there and walk the walkways. There are ducks that live there also. There is a memorial with a piece of the Twin Towers there. It has turned into a nightly pray spot for my brother and myself. Most of the people you run into are very friendly. The others are usually on the phone lol

Had a nice time here in Slidell Louisiana at the annual Crab Festival. Came down with my brother the real brother Sir Charles Jones d king of Southern Soul. There was a mixed diversity crowd of people white black Hispanic. This is what people need to do more of and there was no violence whatsoever had a wonderful time. I highly recommend that you bring your kids out to have fun and share culture with other nationalities this was so wonderful I'm proud of America for this black white brown we all got down.

Hi everybody. Look I love Heritage park! I don't want the 3 star review to confuse anyone. The reason I gave the park a 3 star rating is because... THERE IS NO WHERE TO HIDE FROM THE SUN!!!!!!!! You have a couple of places to get some shade and that's it. COME ON SLIDELL, I KNOW WE HAVE PLENTY OF MONEY IN THE KITTY TO CORRECT THIS PROBLEM. IT'S BEEN AN ISSUE FOR A FEW YEARS ALREADY!!! LITTLE KIDS ARE GETTING BURN ON PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT FOR CRYING OUT LOUD. THE CITY'S SOLUTION IS TO PUT UP A SIGN WARNING OF HOT EQUIPMENT. REALLY REALLY! JUST PUT UP SOME SHADE ALREADY. MAYBE PLANT A FEW TREES OR SOMETHING. This has gone on long enough! I HOPE THE MAYOR READS THIS AND HAS SOME HEART AND FIXES IT. TY IN ADVANCE...

Went to Crabfest Sunday Sep 16. I will never go again. It was far too hot and humid. Admission was $20 to walk through the door and food stands giuged you. $3 water, $4 popcorn, food $8, $10, $15 a plate. The performers sucked! Michelle' must have been drunk or high. She only wanted the audiance to sing and she didnt want to preform. Other performers were under par. Restrooms too far away and only found one ATM onsite with a $4.50 service fee to withdraw!!! We were drenched in sweat and had to park about 4 blocks away and walk to the entrance with lawn chairs. They won't...

A great place to bring the kids! The Water sprinkles are the best idea ever! The kids love it. So do we as parents. With the heat & humidity hear cools them off, return to play. Less chance over heat exhaustion & dehydration!👍 Only concern lately is the broken play equipment with only caution tape around it! Wish they would either fix it or take it out & replace it with something else that the kids can enjoy! Nice place to take your walks, or runs, & they have public restrooms which is a plus with little ones and for the most part they are decent as far as...
