Came for dinner service and was very disappointed. Food prices were great but the quality of what we received was not even mediocre. I ordered the Cubano. It was 2 pieces of white bread, a slice of ham, maybe 2 pickles, pulled pork that was really just the fat pieces, cheese, and mustard you could barely taste. Looked nothing like a cubano and tasted nothing like it either. More so a ham and Swiss panini that I could have very easily made at home. We also got a bbq plate and the bbq nachos. Nachos were just mediocre. Queso tasted like great value canned nacho sauce and was the smallest serving of nachos I’ve ordered to date. The bbq plate tasted like store bought pre cooked bbq that comes in a microwaveable container. Mac n cheese was bland. We had 2 waiters, one was a male and decent in the beginning but then didn’t return for 30 minutes. our other waiter served our food. If we needed something she would not stop walking away but respond to us by yelling as she’s walking away. She did everything with an attitude it seemed like. Like she was having to wait on 30 tables. At the time when we came, they had 4 other tables and 2 people sat at the bar in the whole restaurant so no reason to be in that much of a rush. It took us having to track down someone just to receive our bill. 30 minutes after stacking and setting our plates to the side. When Sodosopa first opened they were pretty good. I haven’t been here in years and judging by the service and food we received by this visit, We will...
Read moreThe food was very bland. For a restaurant that advertises smoked pork product, there was no smoke flavor on my husband's overcooked ribs (nor was there any seasoning). After he reluctantly sent them back, he was offered a replacement of brisket but was given pulled pork, which also lacked seasoning and was so greasy he almost threw up. I had the cheese steak pressed sandwich and the rib eye was dry, overcooked, and had no seasoning. After sending his first order back, a gentleman who had been standing at the front of the restaurant talking to the host since we got there as well as clearing tables came over and introduced himself as the kitchen manager. He was very pleasant and handled the situation professionally, however I'm unsure why the kitchen manager wasn't in the kitchen. We were not offered for anything to be comped, even though my husband didn't finish the second dish they brought out. My husband has been smoking meat for twenty plus years, and we can both say for certain that there is no smoker at that restaurant (regardless of how the menu is worded). If you get any smoke flavor at all, what you're tasting is liquid smoke that can be purchased at the store. If there were a functioning smoker in use, you would be able to smell it from blocks away. Was highly disappointed by the food standard, but the wait staff and front of house were pleasant. We will not be returning to this restaurant and would actively advise friends not...
