Wing Power — Restaurant in Smithfield

Upon walking in, there was a gentleman at the entrance. It appeared he was working there but to our surprise, he was not. He had a large, what appeared to be an iPad or something similar so we thought he was seating folks who entered. After waiting several minutes too long, we decided to seat ourselves. Nice couple at the bar offered us their seats as they were leaving. The place was packed. The band was great but the sound over powered the size of the restaurant. Time to be served was unexpectedly long so we approached the waitress. Any employee who was available for more water and to alert them about our order sitting near the take out section waiting to be brought to us. It seemed to be chaotic service and more attention on fixing tv channels than regularly expected service. The wings were just ok. Chicken rice bowl was on the salty side. Who ever is making the wings here knows exactly what they're doing. They do a lot of takeout and it's clear why. Its a small place and if you were familiar with The grill on 5 its that place remodeled but with a bar which takes up a lot of room. Seating is limited. Staff is friendly and irioning out the details that come with operating a new buisness. Sports wise it will be a good place to go to watch a game and drink some beer and have some incredible wings. Fries are a big one with me and i wanted them to serve up fresh cut fries (lower overhead, more profit and better product) but they were pretty standard frozen bagged. Not bad but not awesome. Their signature ‘buffalo’ sauces have absolutely zero ‘buffalo’ flavor to them. I wish someone else had this in a review for someone like me. I love buffalo flavor wings, and the description of their sauces mention buffalo flavor, but it was just some kind of sauce mixed with different hot peppers. We tried the Hot Burn and Hot Attack. So disappointed. I’m sure the sauces are fine in general but if you are looking for a traditional buffalo flavor and taste, do not go here.
