Update per their response... How/why would a person that wasn’t present respond to a situation with non-fictional statements? She wasn’t on the phone or present during the ketchup debate!!! Their response to my post & other reviews let’s you know what to expect overall. I didn’t include every second & word of my exp bc I didn’t want my review to be soo long that ppl wouldn’t read it and get a fair heads up but since the ‘wife’ responded inaccurately I’ll give further details. I was NEVER told to not return the horrible cheese n noddled (mac n cheese). When he said in person “It ain’t that serious” I simply said “You May have wanted it to review it & confirm my Complaint and possibly show your staff what shouldn’t be served” I didn’t expect youI to take it in the kitchen and try to fix and resell. When have returning food become a safety hazard?!!! Most restaurants ESP “mom and pops” REQUIRE you to bring food back that you complain about when wanting a replacement/refund. When your rude ‘’hubbie“ asked how many ketchup I wanted I said a hand full, he went on and on trying to get me to say a number amt. HE SAID “well 10?” annoyed & over a ketchup debate I said yes. Then that’s when he that he would charge me .50 more. I said no, I’m good and that I would never pay any restaurant to give me more than 3pks of ketchup. Like a whole order of fries only warrants three packs of ketchup??!! You guys need to really retake a business and customer service class. Had I known that it was BOOTLEG ketchup I would have went without!!! You all can continue to response as if you actions are valid but anyone that reads the REVIEWS will still get the clear picture. Nickel and dimeing your customers to compensate for your shortcomings Is WRONG!!!

Original post-The guy wanted to charge me for extra ketchup... They gave me all bottom, corners for the $3 mac n cheese but allowed me to come back another time for a refund or a replacement. I choice replacement and brought the old one back. After getting my replacement I told him that this (handing him) is the old one me if he wanted it. He made a scene while talking loudly...”It ain’t that serious “ I said “well I told you on the phone that I was bringing it back, if I complain that something isn’t good enough to eat it then it’s only right that I return it” He went on to state how long I held it (a few days) I said don’t worry about it, then I threw it in the trash and left. My company is new to this area so I’m not sure if charging for more than 5packs of ketchup and hard Mac n cheese is a normal but I’m definitely looking...

Today, I decided to revist Chef La's Fish Fry after experiencing an awesome meal this time last week. The food last week was great, I ordered the 3 piece whiting Fish basket and 2 Catfish tacos, etc. The food was seasoned to perfection by the female cook, I can't remember her name. Today, I decided to go back, just to see if the food would be the same, and it definitely WAS NOT the same, and I can't say that I was surprised. I ordered the 3 piece whiting Fish basket, fried crispy. It appears that you need to catch the right chef at the right time, because it appears to be a consistency issue with the taste of the food and I have experienced this many times, which is the reason why I stopped going so offen. A customer should never know when a different cook is in the kitchen because the food tastes so different and I don't believe the same cook who prepared my food 15 mins ago is the same one from last week. I honestly think it was the guy who was standing behind the cashier on his phone who cooked my order today. Sorry to say, but the fish was so bland with no seasoning that even the Texas toast had no taste. One thing about fried food, you can't add salt and pepper after its already been fried and hot sauce can't even masked the missing seasoning. Cook my fish as if we are at a fish fry in the backyard at grandma's house. Again, a customer should not be able to taste their food and notice theirs a different chef in the kitchen because of no consistency. Great place but how do you maintain greatness without...

I can't recommend this place at all. It was truly terrible. My selection were flounder, shrimp sandwich fully dress, fries, fritters, and cole slaw.

I kid you not the flounder tasting like a bowel movement in my mouth and was so dry and hard.

The fries are absolutely disgusting. I can't even explain them but they taste gross. If you like zaxby, five guys, Wendy's, chick fil a, cheese cake factory, Mac Donald's, bk, or any creole type fries you best not get fries from here. So disappointing cause I love fries.

The shrimp tasted decent. Juicy and fat and an decent flavor BUT on the sandwich. They are an extrem let down, but I think it was because of the crab mayo which is also GROSS. The sandwich overall was soggy bread and tasteless. No life to it..

The fritters are the highlights. I really liked them.

I didn't finish anything but fritters and the shrimp. Not even gonna mention the atrocious cole slaw. The rest got threw away I may just go to chick fil a. I'm beyond disappointed because I choose one day out the week to spend over my budget and I chose this place but I will redo this tomorrow. I can't end my week like this.
