Great local hole in the wall style coffee shop. Really is a hidden gem, literally and figuratively (since it's a little tough to find it on Google Maps due to it being by a one way road - however it is definitely worth the trip to it!). Once you walk up (or drive up to the mini drive thru window) the owner is super friendly and welcoming. The coffee is great and has a very nice patio area that's nicely landscaped under the shade of a beautiful tree. Ordered the spicy polish sausage and it was fantastic - perfect amount of spice to it, just enough for a little kick. However, if you're getting food too highly recommend just parking and ordering since the food is made fresh after ordering and takes time. The sign on the store recommends ordering ahead to save time though, so you can pick up at the drive thru quickly. It's one man show but the owner is awesome and open to feedback as well. Also heads up, the parking is very limited but for a quick grab and go ahead park in the back area of the building or near by one or street. The owner mentioned he's working on solving parking constraints, so hopefully solves soon. Aside from that minor issue, the food and coffee is fantastic and worth the effort. Highly recommend this hidden gem!

[edited from original after response from owner]. The food was decent. Kinda weird having to walk up to a drive through window. Not very welcoming. After I figured out the window (after pulling on the door), sat back and watched others do the same, if not leave. The Chicago dog lacked the neon green relish. After the "feed back" which I found rude and incredibly un-reinviting.... I will not be back. Why would one drive up to order a hot dog, then park... when there's only 3 spaces!? It's not even a real Chicago dog. Then all the pics on Google suggest it's an entertainment establishment, but then the guy fires back!? Naw. Far better places. Save your money and time. As I did. Watching multiple folks, just as myself (first time visitors, cause we won't be back), walk up to a locked door. Just saying, all things natural don't lead you to walk up to a "drive thru". Get your act together. Won't be round long.

This place is amazing! Only place in Atlanta I've been able to get a genuine, proper, delicious, authentic chicago hot dog since moving down here. It was very reminiscent of Portillos with the poppy seed bun. Seriously SO GOOD. On top of that, the coffee was fantastic and the owner Marq was so nice! Really a great and friendly guy who values good fresh coffee and food. I cannot recommend this place enough! Update: I had the italian beef and a plain black coffee. The coffee is so good. Best coffee in the Atlanta and surrounding areas by far, so far it's the only place I will drink plain coffee from and I have tried just about every small and large place others have recommended. The italian beef is also amazing! As a midwesterner, the only thing that could have made it better to me is a side of cheesy fries. Much better than the other places in the Atlanta area where the beef is bland.

Highlights: Great Service! Pup Friendly!! My strawberry/ mango smoothie was HEALTHY and DELICIOUS!!! 😆

Review: This is a small establishment that is not too hard to find if you know where to look. It is tucked back on the Terrill Mill entrance to the Microcenter shopping center. My roommate and I were looking for a place near our apartment to grab a quick bite so we wouldn't have to leave my 10 week old German Shepherd puppy at home, and I am a smoothie fanatic! A quick Google search and this place popped up with mention of a drive through, so we decided to check it out. When we got there, I saw it was a small coffee shop and parked in the hopes that they would be pup friendly, and they were! The owner was very nice and welcomed me and my pup inside, even though space was very limited. It took him a few minutes to make our smoothies, but I took my pup, Zeus, outside to a small shaded side yard with a platform and played with him for a few minutes while we waited. The smoothie I received was definitely worth the wait! As I said, I am very much a smoothie fanatic. I am also a person with a lot of stomach sensitivities and prefer my smoothies to be either organic or at least have as little sugar as possible. This had no sugar and was SO GOOD. It was delicious and I felt good about drinking it, and that makes for a great experience in my opinion. My roommate had a smoothie he was equally enthusiastic about and a hot dog that he also said was quite good. The owner invited us to come back and bring Zeus and I think it's very likely that we will do exactly that. I might actually have dreams about that smoothie... 😅 Would definitely recommend giving this...

Welcome to the Best kept secret in the state of Georgia. This is going to be a long review but a well deserved one.

I found this hidden gem after a quick search for local coffee and I’m glad that I did. I’ve only experienced coffee of this magnitude a few times throughout my years. The blend of coffee and flavor in the Irish Cream Latte was absolutely perfect, a master blend. The big chains can either be a hit or miss but every cup from here is a grand slam.

Next up is the Chicago style dog. Many places over promise and under deliver when it comes to an Authentic Chicago style dog, not Jacobs. This is the real deal, and if you closed your eyes you’d would swear you were standing somewhere in the streets of Chicago. Even the presentation would make the likes of Picasso jealous. But is doesn’t stop there, the Polish sausage and Italian beef are as good as it gets. Having to choose between the three may be the hardest decision you face today. My recommendation is to try all three and decide for yourself, I wasn’t disappointed and you will not be either.

Now on to the customer service. From the first visit you are greeted like an old friend. From the knowledge, recommendations, delivery, and follow up, very few places offer such passion and professionalism for what they do. They truly go above and beyond to deliver the unique experience of coffee and dogs.

If you are in the area, close by, or enjoy an old fashioned road trip, Jacobs Java is not...

Let me start off by saying although I am an avid supporter of small businesses, I don’t typically venture outside of my normal routine when it comes to coffee. I visited this business three separate times before writing this review, and my experience was consistent every single time. I decided to try Jacob’s Java because it is close to my job and I was attracted by the drive-thru option. When I arrived I was pleasantly surprised to find that not only is it a small business, it is a black owned business. Businesses owned by POC have struggled greatly during this current economic climate so I’m always happy to see these businesses thriving. Nonetheless, back to the review! The prices are comparable to your average gourmet coffee shop, but that’s where the similarities stop. Jacob consistently provided exemplary customer service, good conversation, and a latte that tasted like love in a cup! He also has tea and smoothies available, but I haven’t tried those yet. If the latte is any indication of the overall beverage quality though, I’m sure those will be equally as amazing. Jacob is from Chicago, so in addition to his beverage options, he serves Chicago style hotdogs and sandwiches for lunch, which is nice for us all day coffee and tea drinkers. He also has a very inviting patio seating area, that looks like it would be a great place to relax and unwind once the weather starts to warm up. Treat yourself and give Jacob’s Java a try, you won’t be...
