I was not super excited to go with my coworkers to another chain for lunch, but I was pleasantly surprised. I had the spicy shrimp pizza. The flatbread it is served on is nice and has a great texture and flavor. The shrimp have been marinated, and there was no shortage of them. There was plenty of cheese, as well as plenty of bell peppers. I am not sure where the chili oil ended up, because it was not spicy to me. I ended up using 1/5 of a bottle of Tabasco to achieve the heat I expect from a "spicy" whatever. I honestly wish (and I hope they read this and modify their menu, but probably not) it came with a fiery marinara instead of the chili oil. I get why they use chili oil, because it does not spoil. I favor pizzas with red sauce. I think a fiery marinara would complement the shrimp nicely and give a far better flavor. The crust is very crispy, and the sauce would help balance the crispiness with the cheese. I think I would probably order it again, but I might bring crushed red pepper flakes with me or a different kind of hot sauce if I am dining in.
My co-workers ordered what appeared to be nice dishes as well. One ordered the shrimp po boy, and he said it was good. Another ordered the veggie pizza and he ate all of it except for the edges of the crust. My third co-worker ordered a turkey sandwich and he said it was really good.
They have good service, nice staff, and free refills on the drinks. I will go back if I need a fast meal that does not feel as much...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo, I've eaten at Newks Perimeter before & their food is 5 star. This location, not so much. The "toasted" bread was super hard, so I asked for untoasted bread just to be able to bite it. The people behind us got their food before we did. The cake was lackluster....I'm just really disappointed in this location. Oh, and found out after the fact that there was another bread option, lol!!Maybe because it's a newer locationš Either way, I probably won't be frequenting this location. I hope the "owner" is truly the person responding to these reviews. There seems to be a common theme here & if not fixed accordingly, this location won't be here long. Just came back to add to the experience...I forgot this part: While I was in line placing my order, a lil guy comes from the kitchen to inform the cashier if she was eating, she should tell him now. She stated that she wasn't eating there tonight. He said, if any more customers try to order a salad, tell them the salad machine is broke! We're not making anymore tonight. I looked at them both & said I'll act like I didn't hear that! Forget that, someone needs to know they hired an idiot! I changed my stars from 3 to 2. He was a short guy with a mustache...looked possibly mixed. This was the closing shift on Monday June 11,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTerrible service! The company I'm working with over the summer caters from here. We needed a receipt for accounting. I go up there and try to get the receipt from our catering order from last month, and pick up an online sandwich order. It took about 15 minutes for a manager to pull up the paperwork in the back and tell me I had to call EZ Catering for the receipt. We sat down and called, gave reference number, and they emailed me a receipt. So a bit of a runaround. Next, they couldn't find the online order. Couldn't find it in the system, couldn't find it in the kitchen, in the computer, nowhere. After the lady ran around confused for a few additional minutes, I told her I couldn't wait and to cancel the order. Fast forward to today, my boss tells me her card never got refunded for the sandwich combo. I bring the online receipt back to the store manager and tell him what happened. He took it in the back and said he knew the person who ordered it, and he would take care of it. He then walks to the front, talks with his coworkers and scratches his head for 10 minutes trying to put together an online order. So once again, after waiting with no answer, I get frustrated and walk out. I will just have to tell my boss to cancel the order through...
