Thursday afternoon around 430 ish. Customer service is very poor. Employees are angry. No greetings, no smiles, no thank you's. I waited about 5 min for my order inside to be taken because staff were carrying on personal conversations talking to each other, standing at the counter talking to people they knew, working the drive thru and disregarding the counter inside. Then an employee walked from the back came to the register and acted as if she was bothered for having to take my order. Instead of a nice greeting with a smile she said " what do you want" with a blank face. When looking at the menu I asked if there were any family meal specials and was told NO so I ordered a 12 piece which i didnt need that much chicken but needed 2 sides. After packing up my order and i was given my food, i checked it against my receipt already knowing she had left an item i had ordered out of my bag when i mentioned something was left out of my order the employee was frustrated even though she took my order, packed it and it was on the receipt. I left the building and I went to my car and pulled up the website and indeed there was a 10 piece with 2 sides that was 24.99. I spent 34.99 on a family meal and added an extra side and pies. I could have saved 10.00 by her telling me they had a 10 piece with 2 sides for 24.99. Popeyes chicken is very good when its fresh but i have been to 4 different popeyes in Nashville and they are all the same. The lack of customer service, the cleanliness of the lobby, typically always out of something (including chicken at a freaking chicken place), order is almosr never correct and when you say something there is always attitude. I do not know how popeyes is treating their employees nor does the hiring but they definitely need a regional or district manager in Nashville that can turn things around. I truly do not know how they stay open. I have given chance after chance and today at the smyrna location was enough to make me not ever return to popeyes. I will say the only popeyes around the Nashville area that actually has hot fresh food and good customer service is the Lebanon TN store. POPEYES step up and get control. This is absolutely...
Read moreI always visit Popeyes Restaurant which is in Smyrna because I live here near the Restaurant but yesterday I went to buy food at night around nine at night I was served by an employee if I'm sure I think that's her name her name is JAZMINE or Ashley I'm not very sure but she is a colored girl she was very rude to me she threw my food she left me standing in line because I told her to wash her hands after she came from the bathroom she didn't want to wash her hands and I paid her with a 50 dollar bill and I spent like $11 in total and she told me that I hadn't given her the bill she basically stole it in my face I'm tired of how these people can have them in a service serving people who don't even have the knowledge of how to work with people it's clear that the big bosses who own the corporations don't realize what's happening I left my comment so that it doesn't happen to another person although I'm still thinking about whether to call the police and have them review all the cameras in the system because this can't happen again to...
Read moreTL;DR: Not fantastic, but also not terrible.
My first time eating at any Popeyes. I was reading the reviews of this place as I was waiting for my order, and got a little scared! But my order came fully cooked and as ordered. I did have to wait 10-15 minutes as they were kinda busy. I ordered a classic chicken sandwich, fries, mashed potatoes, and the seasonal apple cranberry lemonade. The thing I enjoyed the most was the chicken. Juicy, and the coating was crispy and delicious. The bun was nothing to write home about, and not much mayo on it. The fries and mashed potatoes were what you'd expect, nothing terrible or wonderful. (The fries were more meh than the mashed potatoes, wouldn't order them again). Didn't care for the drink (and got charged full price for it, you'd think they'd discount because I got a meal but no). Basically, if you come in expecting standard fast food fried chicken and sides, and don't set your standards too high, it'll do. If I come back, I'd probably just get a chicken breast and a side of...
