At first we liked the vibe, arrived when they said doors opened for Jon B only to be asked were we here for networking? No where on the site or ticket did it say anything about a networking event. I ordered chicken wings and 1 drink for $33. A few minutes later some random dude comes up and says they are out of wings. He said I could order something else but then the bartender waitress came over claiming otherwise and told me I could only get shrimp. I would have to pay the difference. What the hell? Your establishment is OUT of food and you’re telling me what I can order. No customer service and absolutely ridiculous to be out of wings at 9:30 and hardly 30-40 people in the building. I finally got my money back after asking to speak with a manager! Into the night the vip tables were empty and the artist didn’t show up until almost 1am. As a patron, I eventually bought more food later. We sat by the dance floor and got asked to move claiming the smaller tables were paid for! We accommodated the request the first time. However, my friend and I were asked moved 3 times and that is unacceptable!! I was livid at this point. The last move was by a speaker in a corner. The manager did try to make it right with food(my lemon pepper wings were so hard) and drinks so I will give him that. If I ever go back, it won’t be on a celebrity night. That’s a strong IF.
A few tips, get your table 💩 together please and put reserved IF patrons can’t sit. Also, stop letting folks pay for tables you don’t really have just to make a dollar at the last minute and have a waitress try to talk to people any kind of way. Moving people around is not a great...
Read moreSOHO Kitchen and Cocktails has all the makings of a nightlife hotspot—great music, an energetic crowd, and the kind of ambiance that promises a good time. But beneath the surface, there are some design and layout choices that hold the experience back. The most glaring issue? A serious lack of functional seating and poorly executed design flow. Despite the space’s potential, the majority of patrons end up crowding around the bar—not necessarily because they want to, but because it's the only accessible seating area for walk-ins. The rest of the venue feels oddly empty, giving off an illusion of disuse or poor turnout, which is far from the truth. There’s a real opportunity here to improve the guest experience by adding bar tops or communal high tables. These would relieve pressure from the bar area and give guests a place to enjoy their drinks without feeling like they’re in the way or forced into a standing-room-only situation. The “section-only” concept might seem exclusive on paper, but in practice, it divides the space in a way that feels disconnected and uninviting to the majority of guests. For a place trying to establish itself in the nightlife scene, inclusivity and smart design are key. SOHO Kitchen and Cocktails has the potential to be amazing—but unless some adjustments are made to better accommodate and engage the full crowd, this concept could fizzle out just as quickly...
Read moreI recently had the chance to dine at SOHO and it was an experience worth talking about.
Ambiance From the moment you walk in, the space sets the tone. The lighting is warm and inviting, while the music keeps the energy vibrant without being overwhelming. It strikes that perfect balance between upscale and comfortable—great for a night out with friends or even a casual date.
Food The menu is creative without trying too hard. I started with the small plates, and the flavors were well-balanced and thoughtfully presented. The highlight of the night was the main course—perfectly cooked, seasoned just right, and plated beautifully. Portions were generous without being excessive.
Drinks Their cocktail menu deserves its own shoutout. The bartenders clearly know their craft, and each drink was mixed with precision. Whether you’re into classics or house specials, you’ll find something that stands out.
Service The staff was attentive without hovering. They knew the menu inside out and offered great recommendations. I never felt rushed, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
Overall SOHO delivers on atmosphere, flavor, and hospitality. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to linger just a little longer after the meal is done. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy a well-rounded lounge experience...
