The first time we went there it was great. That was about 7 months ago. This recent time however was terrible. We sat for over five minutes before we could put in our drink order. Not a huge deal, but it was a sign of things to come. We put in our order and the waitress came back with the oil for the bread and no bread. She said she would be back, but She never came back. I could see her working in the back folding napkins into silverware and making passing eye contact with me before ducking behind a corner. The best part was watching someone masterfully pretend to work while not actually working. I can pick up on it easily though because I'm quite good at it myself and I know the signs. This went on for over 45 minutes before I walked up to her and told her to cancel our order. Generally I would be ok to wait 45 minutes for food. Just let me know ahead of time or at some point, but when I have to walk up to you and point out what's happening then something is wrong. She said it would be right out but the time for that had passed. I saw her bring what appeared to be a manager to the floor and point to us and he just turned around and I didn't see him again. We paid for our soda (they didn't even comp the soda) and left.
We then went to the KFC Taco Bell accross the street and got a ton of food in about three minutes for $20. This was great because at that point if hadn't eaten something I probably would have killed something and $20 worth of taco Bell is enough like a tranquilizer to stop even a...
Read moreLet me start by saying this is my first restaurant review I have ever written. I wouldn’t typically do something like this, but after my experience ordering togo food at Trevi I felt I had to bring my experience to light. I called in to place a togo order last night and the lady who answered the phone was extremely rude and very short on the phone. Not only that she would cut me off and take an exorbitant amount of time ringing my food order in which I could only imagine was done using Morse code. I ordered penne carbonara only to be informed that the carbonara was prepared with spaghetti and that it would be an upcharge for penne. I cancelled the order for carbonara and switched to 2 kids Mac and cheeses. Before I hung up I was given a total of $38 for two cheesesteaks and 2 kids Mac n cheese. I called back immediately to cancel the Mac and cheeses (that were not kids meals) and someone in the kitchen asked why. Then when I arrived I immediately identified the lady I spoke with on the phone as the woman with the long dreads and witnessed her being rude to another party coming in for dine in service. Meanwhile the kitchen staff was mocking me the whole time I was waiting for my food. Also, my 2 $9.50 cheesesteaks came out to 23.50 somehow. Needless to say I will not be returning to Trevi. I don’t need to subject myself to that treatment. There are other options. I work in the hospitality industry. If you don’t enjoy customer service and don’t care to be hospitable then it’s time for a different...
