Golden Bowl Restaurant — Restaurant in Smyrna

I've been ordering from golden bowl for 14 years faithfully. Just recently, I noticed their portion sizes are declining, and essentially they cheating customers. In two occasions now, I have been shorted on my order, If you order a large dish, they give you a small portion. My final conclusion to stop buying from them came recently when I ordered a large chicken noodle soup, and when I got home and took the soup out, the container was half full of noodles and 60 percent broth which was equivalent to a small portion. I've ordered soup from the Canton House across the street and China Delight, and it was the proper size for a large order. I ordered a large pepper steak and onion, that too was equivalent to a small. In conclusion, shame on you golden bowl, long time customers know what they normally get, and you are failing to provide what people are paying for and NOT getting, not fair. If you continue to cut corners and short customers, people will stop buying from you. I will be contacting the office of food protection (OFP) to check on...

I will NEVER order here again. I ordered once before today and food wasn’t good but i thought i would give them a second chance because prior to that the food was good. I ordered shrimp lo mein and got shrimp, big onions, and noodles ( where the heck was the vegetable)?

Today i ordered shrimp with garlic sauce. The garlic sauce was like paste, the r fried rice was bland, the shrimp had a horrible taste. I immediately threw it away. So what do i eat now? I figured i would just eat the shrimp roll. My God that was horrible! I have never had a nasty egg roll, shrimp roll.

Idk what has happened with them but the food is horrible. I called the restaurant and i was nice speaking with the owner. I ordered a Pepper steak dinner & 5 Shrimp rolls for Dinner for 2. This was the 2nd time I ordered from them, I thought i would give them another shot so to speak. The meat in the pepper steak was RAW. When I ordered I specifically said to make sure the Meat was cooked well done because it happened before. The meat was DISGUSTING, Slimey and no where near cooked right. The Shrimp rolls were BURNT, In the Fryer to long. I called & Received “Lip Service” I completely Threw it all away.
