Beautiful establishment! It is truly sad to say they have a root that needs to be weeded out. This young lady really makes the joint look trashy. The Merchant at the bar suffers from delusion and make ups fictitious accounts. In the State of Delaware it is illegal to drink on the job as a bartender and she does so faithfully. How are we the Public and Pats’s Restaurant able to trust her logic or competency of accuracy within her decision makings on a safety call if she is inebriated? She outright lied and said we had some “tiff” that only revolved in her mind ☹️…it was sad to see that person (lady) put her liquor license at risk. I will be formally making the complaint to the Delaware Division of Alcohol and Tobacco Enforcement. This isn’t retaliation because she is trying to assassinate my reputation because she is simply jealous that I don’t hold a conversation with her at the bar. I have the right not to engage; if your topic or our interactions don’t go beyond you serving me what I came to get. I don’t talk to just anyone. I’m an intellectual person and I attend the establishment to work and enjoy sports tv and Pinot Grigio. Thankfully, I keep notes and receipts of these type of accounts when I receive this type of conspiracy from women and men…all because of the way I look and the way I carry myself😒….this has resulted in her stated that “she will never serve me.” Mind you we never had any ill words or interactions. Mental health checks are...
Read moreThe company was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. I am in from ALASKA and meeting up with old friends this time. I am usually too busy, or I am with a family member.
Being gone for over 2½ decades has changed the face of the town I grew up in.
ENTER... the new Era of dining in Smyrna, DE.
So, I must start by saying that I write these authenticly entertaining reviews to help people make better informed decisions about what or where they go.
This place is large inside. I sat at a large corner booth with a few extra chairs around the table.
Chicken cheesesteak with jalapeño peppers for me. Please and thank you.
There were breadsticks and marinara on the table. I believe we had 2 bowls or 5 sticks. They were just that. Sticks. No. They were not like the loaves of flipping bread that ya may get at other locations/vendors. They are literally the size of a finger.
My friends ordered stuff but it was just wings and a sandwich.
My cheesetrak came out with 1" cubes of cheese covered chicken mixed with cheese covered jalapeño peppers. I think there were some onions in there. And OMG!!! The large, ultra crispy fries were excellent.
I don't think it was too pricey. It was lunchtime where we went. And I didn't pay...
Read moreWas much better when Pat's owned it. I'm not sure why, but a slice pie is never ready, it's always 10-15 minutes for a slice. However, yesterday, me and another customer were waiting almost 45 minutes for a couple slices. They said called their order in and I ordered at the counter, we waited and watched the counter person go and check the back multiple times on other orders but with obviously not checking to see if a slice pie was coming through. We watched the cooks mop the floor and a shift manager walk back and forth talking on her cell phone. Finally, after 25 minutes, the manager happened to walk by, he asked if we've been waited on, I expressed that we were waiting for a couple slices and how long we've been waiting and we don't know why we've been waiting so long. He went in the back and never returned with an update. 10 minutes later, the shift manager came and told us it would be 4 more minutes and that the cook didn't see the ticket for the slices, she offered to refund the purchase for me and the for the other customer. We then waited another 10 minutes for the pizza to come through, and we finally got the pizza. Service, follow-up, and hospitality could all use some work from...
