Oh my holy deliciousness!
Prepare to give your elastic waist a run for its money. I wore jeans. If I didn’t possess an innate intimacy with my own body, I could have stuffed myself to oblivion. Remember the fat guy that explodes on the old, disgusting Sega commercial?
Wait, strike that from your memory for a second while I whet your appetite afresh.
The Food. On a recommendation from a local friend, I tried the chicken fried eggs benne. My husband ordered the German sausage potatoes. Both were so good that we couldn’t decide who’s was the tastier.
For a mid Sunday morning, the place was completely packed out. After waiting 10 minutes or so, I heard the hostess mention to another patron that the bar was open. We found a table right away and had our food within 15 minutes.
Pro tip: eat in the bar. Con tip: the whole restaurant is noisy so it doesn’t matter much where you sit and if you are running away from your children like we did this morning (for the first time in months) the noise won’t bother you as much because it lacks the high octave shrieks and exclamations of small children.
You could almost call it peaceful.
We also left with enough food to feed our entire family of 5, and that is eating to complete satisfaction at the table.
Pro tip: the portions are HUGE. Order the biscuit, I dare you. Con tip: you’d better make yourself stop at half the plate, or else all your dreams of living in a fit body go right out the window.
In all, I will not only be recommending this place to all my friends and visitors to Snohomish County, I’ll be returning myself.

Read moreWe were there last night with friends to celebrate the holidays with them...sadly disappointed.
Ome meal was brought out and was wrong and so the rest of us had meals before this person got her correct one.
My wife's potato was cold and hard in the middle and the lemon chicken dish was also cold. She didn't mention it because she didn't want to wait any longer (again).
One of our guests is allergic to seafood and wasnt told that the salmon chowder had clams in it. She was told it was chowder with salmon. She carries an epi pen and luckily didn't have to use it since she noticed it right away. Another of our guests had the rib eye steak and it was very thin and not very warm..he thinks it was a different cut (never had a rib eye as thin as a hamburger before).
Twice the drink refills were wrong and had to be replaced (after 10 minutes of waiting).
We wanted a desert and our checks were brought prior to asking about it and then the cheesecake tasted a week old and the whip topping was stale and hard. And then the checks had to be corrected again.
One would think that maybe a free desert would have been offered to the guest who's order was wrong and she ate after everyone else was almost done..but nope..nothing ever mentioned.
For 5 people to eat here our bill was a total of 225.00 And after the not very good at all meal I can think of alot of other restaurants in the area with a much better experience than last night's "Holiday get together"..next time we will go to the REPP downtown like we did last year...

Read moreOur initial venture to Collectors Choice was based on high recommendations from members on SCCC Snohomish County Crime and Community Discussion group, a local group for Snohomish County residents. When a fellow member inquired about breakfast suggestions, there were multiple mentions of this Snohomish, WA restaurant. They offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner with great variety along with specials. We're thankful for this discovery!
I appreciate that the Monte Cristo is served with fresh fruit, but you can substitute other sides. The pineapple, watermelon, melon and grape or other fresh fruit is always great quality. The menu offers excellent variety and they are willing to make adaptions. All omelets can be a scramble. The scrambles have impressive portions, and the seasoning is wonderful. My spouse is quite fond of their biscuits and gravy, and the biscuits are the size of a small plate!
Pricing is average, compares with other favorite places.
Weekend breakfast times are popular, but this establishment is spacious. We haven't waited more than 15 minutes, usually seated within 5 minutes. On nice days the deck seating is a great option, serene and still great service.
Service is spectacular, quick refills and...
