Arctic Circle — Restaurant in Soda Springs

Racist much? I’ve lived in Idaho for a while and as someone of color, experiencing racism was a concern due to the lack of diversity in the state. Up until my experience at this establishment, I’ve encountered nothing but amazing people. I came to Arctic to simply make an order for a vanilla cone. The family ahead of me had a large order that a new employee slightly messed up so it took a while. I was next in line followed by an elderly lady that walked in. One of their elderly employees (whose name I don’t know because she didn’t have any name tag) went to one of their other POS systems and to my astonishment, called on to the lady behind me to take her order. Once she was done, this said employee literally walked away and completely disregarded my presence. I noticed that she was trying to act as though she was preoccupied to avoid taking my order. However, I called out to her asking if she could take my order (because she clearly wasn’t doing anything). At this point I tried not to jump to any conclusions but what set me off was that she coldly eyed me up and down like I was filth. Her excuse was that she was “so busy” but she could take it anyway. She handed me my ice-cream without making eye contact or saying a word. I don’t think I’ll ever set foot in this establishment ever again, but if I do, I surely won’t take such treatment lightly.

We stopped for lunch on our way to a family vacation. Some chose to go to the restaurant across the street but most ate here. Because many of them were kids & we were in one car we reconvened here & to all eat together. To make sure we left plenty of room for any other patrons, we crammed into one table. Halfway into our meal an incredibly unpleasant worker made us all leave saying only people who ordered there could eat there. I could understand this if it was busy & we were taking up multiple tables or if we were being disruptive, but there were MANY open tables & a bulk majority of us did order there & we were just eating. Don't know why I bother even commenting. My visit was so poor I thought surely someone would want to know. I ordered the $7 med chicken sand.fry and drink + med. Burger . I was told the drink machine was broken but I could have lemonade etc . I got 2 chicken sandwich. They were terribly dry and tasteless as were the buns. I got charged $3.09 additional for the lemonade substitute for coke I wanted. My wife's taco salad had what she described as a glob of TVP on a 1/4 bag of lettuce a few tomatoes on top a little guacamole and a huge green gob of decayed lettuce near the bottom, BUT the service was very fast.
