Golden China Restaurant — Restaurant in Soda Springs

On a Wednesday, I entered as the lone customer, about half an hour after opening. Someone (from the kitchen) finally acknowledged my presence after 10 minutes of silence and led me to a table. Then, an actual server showed and took my order, which was for the lunch special "General Tso's chicken with fried rice" and a small cup of egg drop soup.

Nothing impressed me. Certainly not the sterile food. Flavorless chicken—made more disappointing by paltry amount of meat hidden inside oversized flour casing. Unimaginative egg drop soup/mucus—ruined by too much cornstarch. Serving the meal piping hot wouldn't matter much if its taste was a "lost cause."

The food was delicious, I would say if it says it's spicy expect just a little bit more spice than average, not blazing hot but definitely had some zip to it. The maps direction is misleading, just follow the main road to the spot it's accessible from there too. The only downside to it (personally) is the building, seats, and menus have definitely seen better days. If your into the old rustic look then it's a positive.

The atmosphere is definitely outshined by the service, I had refills when I needed them, the prices are more than fair specially on the lunch special, and the portions are equally good. Horrible customer service! The sushi is a rip off. They are selling overpriced rice rolls. I ordered sushi and the menu said my rolls had crab, cucumber, avocado and there was nothing but crab. NO CUCUMBER NO AVOCADO. The next roll was supposed to have tuna, shrimp, cucumber and avocado and all it had was shrimp!
