Absolutely abysmal service. We placed an order to go online at 4:05. Paid via cc. Confirmation stated food would be ready at 4:50. So we arrive at 4:50 and go to pick up window which doubles as a drive through. I'm told food isnt ready, although I see a cucumber salad and teriyaki plate sitting there, which might be part of our order. Ok, we wait. And wait. 25 minutes I ask again. Food not ready. Mind you, half the time no one is working at pick up window, and people, and cars, are piling up waiting. At 5:20, after 30 minutes wait at pickup window, I try to call. I get voice mail with message box is full. After 40 minutes wait, I go in and ask a random waitress to check on order and cancel if it's not done. She goes in. A couple minutes later, they call us to window to pick up. "Oh," says window waitress looking around, "I must have given your teriyaki plate to someone else." Oh, you mean the teriyaki plate sitting there for 40 minutes which is undoubtedly now stone cold and bordering on a health risk? That's ok, just cancel it. She vaguely says she'll refund on computer. We dont get a receipt or anything and she takes off before I can ask. We'll see if I get nicked for the $15 item we didnt receive. The food? Sushi was ok, good, but not worth waiting 90 minutes. The cucumber salad was lukewarm and limp, probably from sitting out in a container for 40 minutes. We tossed it. The non-sushi eater went without dinner. There was no offer to remake missing meal (not that we wanted to wait even longer). No offer of a discount or comp. Barely an apology, just we are really busy and oops I must have put your teriyaki into another order. Probably one of my worst take out...

I ordered sashimi at the sushi bar for lunch also had 2 piece Ikura (salmon roe) and a soft shell crab appetizer. Fish was very fresh it was obvious since they were still breaking it down in front of me. 2 guys on the sushi bar 3 in the back and one waitress. I was probably 2nd customer and only person at the bar. I got a weird look from waitress when I asked for the bar and she had to ask one of the guys if it was ok. I soon realized that it was not a real sushi bar after I looked at the menu and realized that they did not have sashimi on the menu. When I go to a new place I usually order sashimi before I look at a menu because I know what I want. The place filled up quick and the one waitress was running hard but the guys at the bar took care of me. Fresh fish good beer and sake I was very happy. Music was very loud and irritating some kind of pop but the guys had no problem turning it down (they did not like it either). I found it strange that they were pre-cutting the fish into slices but I guess if you are doing production that makes sense, I just have never seen it. I read a lot of the reviews and part of the problem is people going to a sushi bar for something other than sushi. On the other hand if a restaurant is going to offer it it should be good.

Spent $120 after tip but it was at the coast on pch so location and all. Not to much more than my normal spot maybe $20 or so.

I was happy with my...

I came here with my daughter & 3 of her friends for dinner on a Thursday just before 8 pm (they close at 9). I ordered a chicken teriyaki plate, the girls all ordered various sushi rolls. I received my hot food pretty quickly & it was mediocre. The chicken was a bit dry & barely any teriyaki sauce on it (I had to request more to be brought on the side). I also requested cucumber salad instead of vegetables & what I ended up with was a pile of cucumbers with no dressing or sesame seeds. I requested the dressing also be brought on the side & it had zero flavor. As for the sushi rolls ordered, one was the wrong roll, the others the girls said were really good but they came about 44 minutes after my meal. We saw others being served sushi rolls who were seated after us. We finished our food around the time they closed (at 9) & our server who had barely visited our table in the hour we were there came over & asked if we were ready for the check. She didn’t even ask if we wanted anything else. I understand it was closing time & people want to go home but I still think it’s polite to ask if there is anything else needed. Mediocre food, poor service. Won’t be...

Not bad of a spot! Made a last minute decision to eat out after watching a show and this place was open. There was a line, so I thought it must be good and gave it a try. Food - Pretty good! Their options are pretty basic and they have the standards. It's like going to almost any other good Western-sushi spot (with all the toppings and whatnot). Their rolls are huge too! Just 1 or 2 hit the spot and got me really full. Service - Very nice and attentive. The guy was willing to help with any questions and helped seat us at the patio. No complaints! Ambiance - quaint spot with outdoor seating, which was helpful. Pretty sure they're dog-friendly because they just have a covered patio. They seemed pretty busy for late Friday night, which was a good sign. And they're right next to Pizza Port. Crowd was good, a lot of couples on dates, but very chill ambiance. Would go again if I was craving sushi and happened to be in the area again. I know there's a lot of sushi options so it doesn't stand out TOO much.

Pretty disappointed with my dinner tonight. We're in town for vacation and the fam wanted sushi. I recommended Himitsu in La Jolla but they wanted to walk from the house and Station Sushi was the closer option. We got there early in order to get a good spot. There was only one guy waiting ahead of us. By the time they opened there were several parties waiting. We had already written out our orders and put them in as soon as we were seated, but I saw other tables receive their food before us. By the time the last person in our group received their food, some of us had already finished eating. As for the sushi, it was all subpar. We paid $30 for two orders of uni that tasted like they were a little past it's expiration date. We legit worried about getting food poisoning. Nothing was that great but the better items were the mackerel and the Slippery When Wet roll. I've never paid so much for such disappointing sushi. I don't plan to ever come back.

Ok, went here after picking up my partner from the Amtrak. Upon walking in the server had a face like we were scum, don't know why...she put on a smile for others just not us, maybe because we were not wearing yoga pants...idk. I almost walked out but we were hungry. Sat outside. You can see the inside where the bar is through the windows. There I witnessed one of the guys behind the sushi bar repeatedly eat what looked like vegetables out of the container...lick his fingers and continue to stick his fingers in for more.... I ordered the veggie yakosiba so naturally I was grossed out. The gyoza was soft, borderline soggy, the yakosiba was flavorless, and the tofu was mush. My partners sushi sucked. Never asked to refill our diets. If you drink diet, the way to please us and get a fat tip is to keep that glass topped off. Our server sucked, food sucked, grossed out. Never, never going back. Hope this review is seen.
