Great access to the sand and water, stunning views and lots of activities near adjacent parking right in front of the walkway leading down to the sand. Where else can you play basketball and watch a lovely sun setting over the Pacific? Was at F. Cove recently and noticed volunteers cleaning up any remnants of the refuse which has made its way down the coast from the Huntington oil spill...So grateful for that kind of love and pride that this community takes to protect and "apologize" to Mother Nature for these types of horrible events. It was truly heartwarming to see the volunteers on the sand and although there wasn't a lot of visible contamination by any means, the effort to catch and clean up any aspect whatsoever has not go unnoticed. So much gratitude for this peaceful and welcoming place to come and spend time along the shores where the waves greet you with consistent beauty and the ocean 'allows' in its beautiful and powerful way. Read moreIt is a hidden gem in San Diego. There are two parts toe the park. Right next to parking lot there is a play area for kids. It is small and cute, typically not that crowded. From there you can walk down to the beach. The beach is secluded with two rocky areas on each side. There is a ramp to go down so, it is good to take strollers or beach carts. It is a intimate setting because of the small size. Mostly you will see families here. When you need a bit , Naked café is across the road . Parking lot is decent sized, with 2 disabled slots and probably around 15 regular slots. There is few other options to park, like along the street, a shopping complex lot close by. So parking should not be an issue. If you are planning to go here, plan to spend few hours, so kids can play in the park, beach and then grab a...
