A Family-Friendly Hidden Gem

If you’re looking for a peaceful and family-friendly beach experience, Fletcher Cove is an absolute hidden gem. We recently spent a day here, and it’s now officially our favorite beach spot!

Parking & Accessibility: Parking is limited but free, which is always a plus. While the parking lot isn’t huge, we found a spot without much hassle. The access to the beach is very convenient, making it easy to bring along beach wagons or strollers for little ones.

Beach & Amenities: The beach itself is wide, clean, and surprisingly serene. Even on weekends, it never feels overcrowded, so you can always find a spot to lay out and relax. The ocean views are stunning, and everything feels well-maintained—from the sand to the surrounding paths. Plus, the restrooms and showers are spotless, which is always a big win for families.

Family-Friendly Perks: What sets Fletcher Cove apart is the park and shaded playground area right next to the parking lot. It’s an excellent place for younger kids to run around and play when they need a break from the sand and waves. There’s also a grassy area perfect for picnics or just lounging in the shade.

This is now our go-to beach for family outings. It’s calm, clean, and has everything we need for a relaxing day with the kids. Whether you’re looking to sunbathe, enjoy a quiet stroll, or let the kids enjoy the playground, Fletcher Cove has it all....

I love Fletcher Cove Beach in Solana Beach! I miss living here soooo much and have never found anywhere that can compare. 😭🌅🌴 It's worth making the drive from north of here where we moved, wish we never moved from here, wasn't my choice 😫 Happiest best beach ⛱️🏖️ has good parking, free spots, a kid park/playground, bathrooms, beach access from the condos, great vibes, chill cool lovely people, post office and CVS walking distance from the condos on S. Sierra. Always felt safe here! Vons nearby...known for its abundant wine selection. Much more, it's just the best place on the planet earth to live and raise a family. My favorite beach in all of San Diego.

Worth the price of admission. Free.

With ample parking, clean restrooms and active lifeguards on watch- you can't help but appreciate this unique beach.

The extra space and park are so much fun.

The best part is that you don't have to walk a mile to get to the water once parked.

The renovations to the playground were well done and appear to be safe.

Definitely makes summers more enjoyable.
