I've been buying from this place since it opened like 10 or 15 years ago. I've rarely ever been disappointed. The pizzas were always hot and tasty. But lately they've slightly been going down hill. Though they are one of the most popular pizza places in Solon, they've started to really slack off on the pizzas. I've recently had 3 bad experiences from here.
I ordered my regular, a medium pepperoni and green pepper pizza. Usually the pizza is hot and fresh, but this time is was far from that. The pizza was cold, mushy, and extremely greasy. I could also tell that the pizza was twice baked. The pizza was mushy, and the pepperoni was burnt. The pizza itself tasted old and stale. The box itself had a lot of grease on it, and it looked like it was tampered with, it wouldn't close well. What I think they did was, they took a pizza that was returned, added green peppers, put it back into the oven, and put it back into the original box. Terrible pizza.
I ordered a Buffalo Chicken Pizza, another one of my favorites. Usually, it's a pizza with great tasting white sauce and chicken, that is drizzled with Buffalo sauce. This time, it was drenched in Buffalo Sauce. The pizza was impossible to put in my mouth. It was extremely spicy, salty, and unappetizing. I then called them back and complained, and the guy on the phone acted alright, and said that they would send over a new pizza for free. The new pizza was good, but it came an hour and a half after I ordered my first pizza. Bad experience.
I ordered my regular again, Pepperoni and Green Pepper. It took a little while for the pizza to get here, and the pizza itself was mushy, tasteless, unappetizing, etc. I also ordered an 8 piece boneless wings with ranch. The wings were also mushy, tasteless, and they forgot the ranch. The total for it was like $27, and I payed with 2 twenties. The delivery guy only gave me $10 back in change, and I gave him $5. It was after he left that I noticed he didn't give me my exact change. Another bad experience.
I've been buying from here for over 10 years, and I don't plan on stopping. But, I hope Doug fixes up the minor issues they've got over there. Good pizzas if...
Read moreOrdered a large pizza today. With the side sauces and delivery fees, it was nearly $30. Not only was the pizza cold when we received it, but it was also poorly made as a thin crust. So poorly made, when we held a slice up to the light, we could see though it. Furthermore, 1/4 of the pizza was burned around the edges. By the way, we didn't even order thin crust. My wife called the store and asked to speak to the manager, who happened to be the person who answered the phone. My wife briefly described our situation and the manager knew the exact order (we didn't even have to give her a name). The manager explains "I accidentally cut it as a thin crust". Years ago, I was a manager for a local pizza place so I know she didn't "accidentally cut it as a thin". They had to stretch the dough to make a thin, then add the toppings to a thin crust pizza, then send the pizza through the oven, then the cooked pizza gets cut and sent out. You can't "cut a pizza as a thin". It was made as a thin and instead of acknowledging the error and making the proper pizza, they continued it though the assembly line without contacting us and deliberately delivered us a pizza that we didn't order. The manager offered to send us a new one, but as a hungry family we opted for a refund and just ate whatever they decided to send us. If you're not even going to try, then why bother? Glad to see she was willing to take care of the situation, very upset their manager tried to pull a...
Read moreI previously left a one star review and cannot figure out how to edit it. Upper management or the owner reached out to me in regards to my review and we had a great discussion. I am now leaving a 5 star review in light of some newly obtained knowledge. I complained about receiving a thin crust pizza when we ordered a regular. Furthermore, I complained about the manager on duty who "knew our order without even asking for a name" because of her big mistake. THE MISTAKE WAS MINE!!! My wife placed the online order and when we got something we didn't expect, we immediately blamed Domino's. After reviewing the order with the owner, I realized my wife accidently ordered a "Brooklyn Style" pizza which was described to me as even thinner than a thin crust. Also, the reason the manager didn't ask for a name when we called was because caller ID immediately brought up our order for her to see. As I stated in my previous review, she offered to send a new one, and happily refunded us when we declined. To sum it all up, Domino's delivered us exactly what we ordered, in a timely fashion, and had no problem issuing a refund when asked. Not to mention, how seriously their team values our reviews, I was happy to hear from the owner. If anyone can tell me how to delete my previous review, I will gladly do so! Keep up the great...
