I walked in and was greeted by a friendly hostess. She sat me right next to the hostess table. Her fault! I like messing with people. So we sit there and order a beer. It took a bit to come out, but I'm a patient man so it was whatever. We order our food and I visit the salad bar. I was actually surprised. I never get a salad bar, but after a long day of snowboarding I figured I should get some fiber. Also, mushrooms. So good. The bar was crisp and delicious. Tasted fresh!
So there was one mistake, but I'm not sure if it was me talking too much and not focusing, or she misunderstood me. I wanted the Steak and Lobster Mac and Cheese (I said Lobster Mac). I ended up with Steak and Lobster. Oh well, not that big of a deal. It took a little while for the food to come out but I think that might have been b/c of the large party sitting next to us. They had about 10-12 people there. Maybe I'm being nice...you decide!
The steak was cooked as expected. I'm not a true fan of lobster so I wont comment on that.
The fun part about this night is how friendly the staff was. When the server was at our table I was being playful and friendly. She was joking back and then when it was time to order she, sadly, informed me of the lack of certain veggies for my sides. I asked her if the green beans were mushy or crunchy and she said crunchy. Then I asked about the broccoli and she said "I can make it crunchy for you!" So then I joked "What are you going to do to it!?!?!" and we laughed. I found out later her manager was right behind me laughing at the entire situation lol. Everybody was a good sport. The broccoli was indeed mushy. Note: I used mushy as in soft. I like my veggies soft when cooked.
Then the hostess was fixing up her menus and doing her hostess duties behind me. She placed some of the menus behind me on the wall and it made a bit of a noise. I didn't care but still looked back to see what it was. She promised she wouldn't hit me with them hehe. So then we started jibber jabbing with her as well. What an interesting person. Schooling, working like 3 jobs, getting by with life. Kudos for her!
We finished our meal and paid up and then relocated to the bar. The bartender was also very friendly. We chit chatted about our day on the slopes and how she hated it in the AM b/c it was packed. We concurred with her. We then teased her about her unwillingness to go down difficult trails even though she's been skiing forever! It was great company for me and my friend. She also suggested good drinks for him as he drinks the flavorful stuff and isn't much for beer. We must have sat there talking to the staff for about 1.5 hours. Just very friendly!
I appreciate them all and will definitely be returning on another late night after snowboarding. Hopefully I'll get the same nice people next time! Kudos for them on making me and my friend have a pleasant night! ...

Read moreI ordered from Ruby Tuesdays and let me tell you, it was a mess. Literally! The spicy shrimp appetizer completely leaked over every single thing in the bag it was in and the container the bbq salmon was in was damaged so all of the bbq sauce went straight through the box and all over the food in that bag as well. If you are only providing take out at this time, care should be taken when packaging food, especially things with sauce! Thankfully we did not check the food in the car because that would have been disastrous as the sauces were everywhere! The food was subpar at best and warning, do NOT order the sweet tea. It is disgusting and is barely sweetened. The spicy shrimp was overly spicy and they declined to provide ranch which is supposed to be included. The tater totchos had bacon bits on top, not real bacon which was disappointing as bacon bits are very chewy. The saving grace of this meal was the pineapple upside down cake, although they neglected to provide icecream with it which is supposed to be included as well. Ruby Tuesday has terrible food, but at least the service there is half way decent. Would...
