i have gone here more than any other cafe in the world and i have lived in somerville for less than a year. this is my go-to spot when someone asks to meet for coffee. i will continuously update with more pictures (i often forget to take them) but here are reviews of everything ive eaten/drunk at 3 little figs.
overall: their prices are truly unbeatable for the quality. the most expensive coffee drink is a $5 mocha and a $4.5 latte and everything is lower than those two. incredible. their matcha latte is $4.5, chai is $4.5, london fog $4. yeah they’re my goat for this. tried their pumpkin spice latte for $5 and it was so creamy and delicious
pastries: apple cider donut muffin: i think of her constantly. beautifully spiced and a little crunchy on the outside but so melt in your mouth decadent on the inside. a wonderful donut in the shape of a muffin. she’s also like $3.50 or something nuts like that lavender biscuit: I also think of her constantly. crispy but airy but dense and slightly salty biscuit with the most yummy lavender glaze. ginormous for $3.5 chai muffin: really soft and airy, the espresso icing is so delicious. i do not think of her all the time but she is what she says she is. the icing makes it so cupcake like but it’s the right amount of icing. for $3 im pogging goat cheese scone: YUM. it’s their biscuit again, huge, and has pieces of goat cheese that is salty and delicious. a great savoury pastry option chocolate pistachio cookie: she is DENSE. she is buttery. she is not that chewy. if that is what you’re into. just a very good warm dense cookie with melty chocolate chocolate scone: it’s like the crispy top flaky part of your favorite brownie, but then ONLY that for the entire scone. life changer
food: ricotta toast: ive only had it sweet here (cinnamon and honey) and it kickstarted my love for ricotta. airy, creamy, perfect sweetness, incredibly flavourful yet soft sourdough. banger. she’s $6 and a gateway to other toasts market sandwich: ive had better but i still enjoyed it (pic) - $11 is the steepest you can get at 3 little figs and this is it! it’s good though, and don’t sleep on the fig jam breakfast sandwiches: yum yum yum and smell so incredibly good. for $6 for a filling beautifully and artisanal crafted breakfast sandwich? aw yea. black pepper biscuit with sausage is the goat
cons: seating is ez if u come early in the morning like i do. if not then yea it’s hard too awesome not gate kept. because they deserve all the love and popularity
even more pros: free awesome water on tap (still and sparkling) swag too different, service too good, food too fresh,...
Read moreThis little coffee shop has it all! Cute atmosphere, delicious food and amazing staff. Diving a little deeper: yes, it can get crowded but when it seems like everyone in Somerville can work from home/cute coffee shops that can take up the seating. There is also a low bench area with table that is perfect for small children.
Food. I don't even know where to start. I'm a "get the same thing that I know I like at a restaurant" type of girl but I think I've had almost everything on their menu and it's all great. The spinach pie, as advertised, might be the "best ever." It's the way I got my kiddo to eat vegetables for awhile. Apple cider donut muffin I don't even need to describe because it's all right there. It's an APPLE CIDER DONUT MUFFIN. I don't know why you'd even keep reading. Go, run, now! But if you're sticking around the pumpkin topping on the greek yogurt is limited time and going on now and I may need therapy when it goes away again. And I'll wrap it up with the Village sandwich because I don't think it gets the proper amount of love. Roasted sweet potatoes with sundried tomatos and honey and maybe feta?! Who thinks to put those together? They do and it's amazing and probably very healthy so you can justify that apple cider donut muffin.
And lastly the people who work there are ridiculously nice. Like I stop and chat with them with I see them out in the world nice. What?! I...
Read moreWe've been here maybe 8-10 times for takeaway during the pandemic. This place is by far one of the safest covid wise. I love that you order ahead and show up to say you're there while they assemble your orser--it means you get fresh food & coffee without having to interact with people much (even though their staff is wonderful) and no card swiping, very pandemic friendly!
I have a severe soy allergy and bakeries can be really difficult to find soy free. Their staff has always been INCREDIBLY attentive about allergies and has followed up with me about my order when necessary. Their allergy information is very easy because as far as I can tell, this place makes nearly everything in house.
Their pepper biscuit breakfast sandwich with sausage or bacon is home's favorite, add arugula for some healthy stuff and great fresh bitter green complement to the sandwich!
Fabulous coffee, I haven't had cappuccino etc but just their coffee itself is well brewed from some deli ious beans!
Highly recommend for pandemic reasons, fantastic food reasons, and allergy reasons. 10/10...
