Razors Barbershop — Local services in Somerville

Over these three years in Somerville, I had been going to Supercuts but I felt that the quality of my haircuts kept getting worse, and so many times I would leave unhappy with how it was cut. It was time I set my foot down and found a reputable barber at a location that I could return to time and time again, rather than a different person working every time I went to the local Supercuts.

With this place just a few blocks away, I took the risk to try somewhere new, and BOY AM I HAPPY I DID!!!

Scheduling was easy online, and service was friendly, quick, and professional. You can chose a barber, but it being my first time here, I selected the option for anyone.

My barber Laz was excellent, he listened to what I was looking for and checked in several times with me during the cut. I honestly can say I can't remember the last time I felt as cleaned-up, fresh, and liking my new cut like I did walking out of Razors.

$30 haircut was not much more than Supercuts yet the service here was superior to anything I had received before. I will 100% be back for all my future cuts....

Extremely great barbershop. Can't recommend these guys strongly enough--I've gotten cuts from John, Phil, Jordan, and Drew and can't say which is my favorite because every cut from each of them was phenomenal. They work well with a lot info or even vague directions (giving even just an idea of my style and time since last cut). I'm not the only one that likes Razors Barbershop though--it gets very busy. They don't take walk-ins and if you want to get a Saturday appointment, you NEED to book at least a week in advance to be safe. Weekdays they still are very busy, but you'd probably be safe with 3-4 days before booking. Just be aware that if you book and miss the appointment, they'll charge the card. This seems more than fair to me considering how popular they are and that your time slot likely means someone else could get a cut then. Great team,...

The barber I had was incredibly nice, but unfortunately didn’t seem to understand what I asked for. I had medium length hair and just wanted a light touch up, to keep most of the length on top and to just lightly shape the sides because of some major events I have coming up. He sort of just went all in on the sides and back without doing just a bit and checking in first, so now it’s a good amount of inches shorter than what I asked, and I’ve gotta wait a few more months for it to get it to grow back to what I had hoped. Plus, the top is also shorter than what I had in mind Again, very nice staff, but if you have medium or longer hair and are just hoping for a little upkeep, I’d try to be as clear as possible or explore other options.
