I chose digital-only which was significantly cheaper than the other options. The process takes several weeks, but there was good communications as the tapes were evaluated (they tell you if anything is damaged, blank, or can't be converted), and again as scans were near completion. Site was easy to access and had good download bandwidth. Scans seem to be decent resolution and files sized were quite moderate, about 1.5 Gb for a miniDV tape. EverPresent finished my VHS digitization project weeks ahead of schedule, and under-budget! And they have unbelievably good customer service. I got phone calls from their staff members multiple times during the process with information and updates, and plenty of opportunities to ask questions. I got a detailed quality report at the end, and the final results were exceptional. I cannot say enough about how good an experience it was working with EverPresent....

As much I might enjoy scanning the odd handful of photos or negatives, getting a box of old family slides to review seemed daunting. EverPresent scanned my slides (and titled then with information on the boxes) all of which made it easy to enjoy memories from long ago.
