The Sloppy Joe was amazing! I hadn’t had a Sloppy Joe since the elementary school cafeteria. I have been thinking of them in recent years and wondering what my first one as an adult would be like.

First, Hot Tomatoes’ is huge! I had been thinking $15 (after tax and tip) was a bit steep for a sandwich, but this was 2 full sandwiches.

The bread is artisanal, delightfully thick and chewy, and way surpassed my expectations; a major step up from a hamburger bun.

The filling tastes just like my nostalgic memories, but upon further inspection is much more gourmet, with the addition of beautifully melted cheese, caramelized onions and occasional bits of shredded carrots and tomatoes.

It was definitely “sloppy” but so delicious I didn’t mind picking up all the pieces that fell out and stuffing them back in.

Tip: if you take some home make sure to wrap the part with the meaty inside exposed in several napkins as well as the small sheet they give you. I did and the bag still got leaky and stained orange.

The leftover “half” sandwich tasted really good cold too.

I will definitely go back for the Sloppy Joe and maybe other things - the menus of sandwiches, salads, and pizza all look very appealing, more than the typical...

We were a group of three and asked if we could be served outside and the person behind the counter told us yes. But, neglected to tell us that we place our orders inside.

Was a warm evening, and we were happy to take advantage of the outside seating. Table was covered in food scraps and when I simply asked for a towel to wipe it down myself the person behind the counter came out with a dry rag and simply smeared what appeared to be food grease around the table... We proceeded to wipe it down ourselves with napkins.

No problem, we placed our order and went to sit back down.

Of the three of us, one dish came out first, missing its side. The next came out ten minutes later, incorrectly, but quickly rectified within five minutes. Great! The third, a pizza, came almost a half hour after the first. (There were only two tables inside, both of which already had their food when we arrived) This being after we were told repeatedly "it would be right out", It was also oddly packed to go. When we asked for parmesan cheese, we were given granulated garlic.

The food was tasty, but a bit expensive for what we received. The...

I've never left a google review in my life but I cannot speak more highly of this place.

I made a big mistake about a catering order I placed 2 hours before an event that my nonprofit was holding. I spoke to who I assume was the owner of the restaurant and he was SO kind and accommodating. He created a catering order for me that he knew would feed the amount of guests at the event and due to my confusion (which was entirely my fault), without hesitation he offered to have it delivered to the event even though the restaurant does not deliver. I am certain that the amount of food definitely cost more than the amount that he charged me. He also offered to throw in free cookies after I shared we are a nonprofit. Not only was all of his kindness greatly appreciated by our organization but after the event ended, multiple attendees expressed how delicious the food was. One asked where the chicken alfredo was from so they could go get some themselves!! We have never received a post-event email about the food before!!

Much gratitude for your kindness and...

A couple of bites and , there are no rules :) Strong social media kept my attention on this wonderful group. Being in the neighborhood on specific day actually brought me into the doors thankfully :-) I like many people who are raised in and around Metro Boston no food because we grew up in it. Pizza is one that we’ve all had our favorites and anyone in those food. It’s never just one. It’s always a couple of great places. This place now sits up in that conversation. The dough is incredibly light on what is a very large pizza. Having it be late, but also have some rigidity when you’re eating it is not. The flavoring in this pie has some garlic in there and some other spices that you wouldn’t normally see, but they’re elegantly handled and just enough to make you notice that you’re eating something a little bit more elevated. Hot tomatoes, and Team, thank you for a great afternoon of wonderful food and conversation. We will be back for sure. :-)
