We used Google to reserve a table. We get there and the sign says seat yourself. The couple that walked in before us took our table that clearly said reserved and had our name on it. Instead if moving them we had to wait for a table to open up. We finally get sested and it takes 10 minutes utes for anyone to take our drink order. A large party comes in gets seated and drinks ordered ans delivered before us. We waited another 25 minutes for those. Our waitress comes back and says to us that she will take "our order because the larger group she has right next to us likes to yap". She takes our order. We get our salads and bread another 20 minutes later. We waited Another 45 minutes for our food. We kept seeing every other table of people that had been seated after us getting their food. I had to keep asking where food was to the waitress. She told me she had seen it back there but didn't have a chance to get it. I finally got up and went up to the counter to ask them where our meal was she then proceeds to tell me it's coming and that she will discount our bill. We finally get our food after being there for an hour and 45 minutes and we ate we were full so we asked for our check waited another 15 minutes finally went went backup because we had some more to we're gonna be We understand that people are short staffed but if she couldn't handle 3 tables that she had then they need to get other people working. Needless to say it smeemed that if you were not a regular there then you didn't get served very timely. I will not be going back ever again. The waitress told us on our way out we'll see you next time, no you will never...

I was in town visiting family and they wanted to go to Macri's for dinner. I'd like to say my first experience was great.... but that wasn't totally the case. We got there around 5 pm and they weren't packed which was our preference. That being said, it was surprising to me that it took about 20-25 minutes to get our food once we ordered. With that in mind, when my order was delivered incorrectly (I ordered cheese ravioli and got meat ravioli), I let our server know. Our server was very kind and apologized for the order being wrong and offered to put in a new order for me. I declined this because it had already taken so long to get this current order and I didn't want the rest of our party (5 others) to have to wait another 20-25 minutes for me to get the correct order. Our server came back to the table a few minutes later and said she knew what happened.. the table behind us had ordered meat ravioli.. and they got cheese ravioli. I know mistakes can happen, however, no effort was made to take anything off the bill, or offer anything to further make it right. Not that I was "owed" anything but it would have been a nice gesture. At any rate, that's just my two cents and my experience as a first time customer. I know Macri's is popular and has a great reputation so I'd like to believe that this isn't a...

When looking at the outside, you wouldn't realize this place is uber cozy and welcoming inside. We did sit next to the window to see outside, but we both work inside without windows. Every other seat is cozy and quaint. We were greeted and sat quickly. There weren't long waits, which was extra nice for us. The waitress, Kelly, was very friendly and helpful. I ordered onion rings for an appetizer. They were delicious! Thick slices perfectly battered and fried. I had soup with my meal. Tomato, basil bisque was flavorful and served piping hot. My husband ordered the salad. Breadsticks are soft and chewy, with a buttery, garlic taste. I ordered the eggplant parmesan with angel hair pasta. The pasta was overcooked but not fall apart, just breaking up in my fork twirl. The eggplant wasn't very flavorful. I didn't get that taste I expected. The sauce was very good. My husband's panini was underwhelming to say the least. It was bread, meat, and cheese on panini pressed bread. No sauce, no veggies, and maybe he should have asked for those things as they were not labeled on the menu. I just expected more from the sandwich. We did get tiramisu for dessert. It was good, not mind blowing, but it was...

Stop & experience this place!! We love Italian food and lived for years near St. Louis and the Hill. Today we were traveling through headed north and were looking for a place to eat lunch. This place was a great pleasant surprise. The food was excellent, freshly made, the “bread” with the large lunch portion of lasagna was made from their homemade pizza dough served with marinara was amazing. The lunch portion of lasagna was large and perfectly prepared. We had the fried Ravioli as an appetizer and it was the best we have had outside the Hill where it originated. I had their cheese soup which was really good and the bruschetta because normally you get a few thinly sliced toasted bread sticks and a few tomatoes with some oil - this was 8 large toasted slices and the tomatoes, onion, basil and oil was in a separate dish. When we come back through; even though it might now be meal time but we will get food to go!!!

Ordered BEFORE 5pm . Left to pick up food at another establishment, parked and dropped my boyfriend off at 5:30 to get our order….i ended up parking my car and coming in to see what the hold up was. Our breadsticks were still beating made (burnt like croutons-btw) the woman at the cashier counter refused any help , making service even slower. An hour later we left with our food and cold beer cheese… didn’t expect it to be cold, but flavor was good. All in all… not worth $65. Been coming here since I was a child… disappointing. There were no Cannolis and one sad piece of tiramisu hidden under cheesecakes. Coming from Naples, Italy, myself..you think they’d at least have Italian desserts. *UPDATE* Ate the food and thought during the Super Bowl we’d give it another try…couldn’t even finish the pizzas or breadsticks because they were so hard.

I was on my way to a job fair and had some time to kill, so I stopped in to get some Italian food. I didn’t have high expectations, but this place is amazing. I was helped within minutes of sitting down, the waitress knew all the specials and was so kind to me. I was a bundle of nerves and felt over dressed and she made me feel right at home. Her name was Karen. The food was superb and Miss Karen made sure I had a basket of bread sticks to go. I had their broccoli cheese soup and their meat ravioli for lunch on a random Tuesday. All of this food only ended up being 8.51, around the same price as a McDonalds meal and 300 times the quality. I will be coming back and I highly recommend if you live in the area and have never been, you should go.
