I've eaten here for years and always enjoyed my experiences - I don't think I've literally ever had any problem with any of the orders I've placed here and over the years I have surely placed hundreds between all the Puerto Vallarta locations, as my grandmother used to eat here two or three times a week, either eat in at the main location or take out from here.
The staff are always friendly, all the restaurants are always clean, the food is always good and as authentically Mexican is you're going to get here without going into one of the Mexican grocery stores (those places are good too don't get me wrong).
The portions are huge and the food is always good reheated. I've literally never had anything bad here. I'm a big fat boy so my dinner doesn't usually leave leftovers, but I've known lots of people that have gotten two or three meals out of their Puerto Vallarta order
Tonight 2/28, I arrived a bit late to pick up a to-go order. There was a little bit of a language barrier, but the employees were super nice and remade my food without me even asking. I would have been perfectly fine with taking the cold food and just reheating it because it was my own damn fault but they remade it for me and apologized for my wait. I went to tip them extra and they refused!
Just a really nice, sincere, clean restaurant that I can't recommend...
Read moreI had a shredded chicken (tinga) quesadilla, with refried beans and Spanish rice as sides. I was not offered any toppings for the quesadilla. I would have liked some sour cream and Pico. I don't know if they season lightly for Indiana tastes, but that was the blandest thing I've tried to eat in a long time. I don't know how some Mexican food can look so good, but taste so bland. My husband had nachos, with the Pico I wanted, but his food was just as bland. We had taken our food to go, and we didn't finish either meal.
I can't complain about the employees, they could have been a little more helpful to first timers like ourselves, but they were fast and friendly. By the time we left there was quite a line, and I'm shocked people from the area would be so willing to wait in line. There was also a large catering order headed out while we were there, and I wonder if they make better seasoned food for catered events?
My husband and I eat a lot of Mexican and Southwest style food, including a lot of Chipotle and homemade, and this was just not good food.
We also had coke from their fountain drink dispenser and it too was just kind of blah. Later in the day we went to a movie and had fountain coke again, it tasted completely different. I'm pretty sure they are serving a generic of soda out of their coke...

Do not order from here through door dash or Uber eats. The kids meal is usually cut into four pieces even for the normal quesadilla. This time it was a couple of slices stuck together made or only cheese with a bunch of chicken thrown on the side. No extra Spanish rice which I was charged for or queso. The taco salad had stir fry carrot pieces as well as way way too much onions and cilantro. I took one bite and was literally sick to my stomach. My chimichanga was so covered in cilantro after the taco salad bite I couldn’t not even think of eating it because I felt ill due to the bombardment of cilantro. The queso was a soupy mess so much so that it added on to the cilantro issue because you could not even pick it all off. The meat chicken and steak were so dry and overcooked. The ground beef especially had absolutely zero seasoning so it was basically a ground beef cilantro mush pie. This food made me so sick I had to throw it all away. Very unfortunate and clear that this restaurant only provides quality if you go in person and watch them make your food. I just reiterate that this food made me actually ill today and I have not experienced food with such poor quality to the point that I’m sick in a...
